hi guys . . . i want to ask what are the normal operating temps for the NB and SB? Im using MSI K9A2 CF and the NB peak temp was 55C, idle is 45C-47C . . . used a evercool serpent NB cooler (it suxs i think) and max 52C, idle 42C-44C. SB max 45C idle 35C. Compared to everyone else is this ok? sweat.gif

yes everest can but depends on your board whether it has a sensor there or not

i dunno about my mobo, but in the everest, it is shown as PWM temp?

nop i think the pwm temp is the temp of the mosfets beside your CPU. This is my guess. Correct me if i am wrong.

may i asked, did u compare ur temp. with and without da evercool serpent? if so wats da temp?

my 680iSLI is 69C-70C stock cooler.

damn hro5 dont have stok atm.

ya i did on my previous post, scroll up to see them . . . recommended not to get the serpent, lack of contact on base, get a zalman fanless nbf47 i think, read good comments bout it.

CeBIT 2008: MSI Shows Passive Fan for Chipset

he ECOlution (the developed by the Taiwanese Polo-Tech) is a passive fan for northbridge. What we mean by passive fan is that this cooling system doesn't need a fan when the chip is idle. However, when in peak, the heat generated by the chipset is used to dilate a gas that will move a piston that in turn will move the blades of the fan that's placed in front of the heat sink's extension linked with 2 heat pipes.

Anyone wanna try to OC with this baby? LOL...Its still a prototype though. tongue.gif
