According to his latest reply, the problem is solved. The sony logo shows up because he was using Sony theme. It's gone after he changed it.

But still unable to connect.

did u install adblock? check again ur wifi setting connect with static ip

Just found out that the OTA of V23 is pulled off. I guess they accidentally released a new update that is not yet ready for us?

just my unbias experience with xiaomi. the OTA push should be tested x N times before releasing. mind you, everything was push via OTA, no manual interaction to update the ROM. and after update and reboot, Xiaomi Read me app. cannot be loaded, google play store missing (basically entire google apps.. gone), call drops n etc.

watever, what i'm trying to say, this is a commercial product for consumer, frequent OTA updates on bug fix is welcomed, minor glitches are okay too. but not to the extend it impacts the standard functionality of the smartphone itself loh.

Dont worry bro. i believe sometime that u installed may have crash ur system.. suggest wipe all (back up first). I am fine with the OTA on both Stable and Dev rom. Not even single issue with it. Of course i did have some crach dev rom because itchy hand and do some things that not supposed to (lift ban and install unverified apps, manual install theme sometime may crash too)..

I am a happy user of xiaomi owning both mi3 and redmi. Both on dev rom and i am tweaking a lot to suit my own usage. Just my 2 cents too

Yes... as i mentioned before.. theme may cause some issue... especially in dev rom because u can manually install .mtz and a lot more unstable china theme.

I agreed to one of the forumer said that stay at factory rom and dont update if u are a noob and not sure wat to do... it will be the best !!!!

Check the miui forum. Apparently this sim card problem is a common bug for all miui devices including Mi3, Redmi note and Redmi 1s. The dev team promised they will look into this problem.

As for finding more themes, you will have to flash to the China dev rom.

When I read it at afternoon it was a 518MB update so I wait until I can find a goof WiFi connection, later I noticed it was 11.4MB so I update using data plan, so far so good solved many previous bugs.

1.) SMS not from contact list shown incomplete number.
2.) Weather apps not update to current location bugs.
3.) Missed call LED notification bugs.

So far so good, hopefully they solve the USB Tethering share internet with PC bugs as well, but can only try in company computer tomorrow.

Prior to the update I go into setting - apps - updater (clear the cache) not sure this help.

how to make xiaomi m3 display both graphically and percentage battery at the same time? since my mom just got this phone and even i'm not sure how to do this? in the setting can only choose either one.. is there a theme or something that could enable this? (without rooting ofcourse)

Ya. I did read your feedback last night, so I decided to update it. But I was too late. The OTA gone when I wanted to do that. Oh well, I guess they changed their mind and want to release it along with official announcement in miui forum.

Is it true that some of the useless google apps (eg: google plus) come back after we updated to V22?
