Yup..

No more power saving mode.

Either it was intentional & they optimized the balanced power settings to perform as good as power savings mode,or..

They made an error which should be rectified in next week's update

No black & white to say so besides certain reviews & announcements.
To be safe, assumed that it is not cool2.gif

The camera sensor in mi3 is quite good but it is hampered by the mediocre software quality

I wish for Kitkat before hari raya so that I can use google camera app to snap pics on that day

But you use it for Clash of Clans and win 6 stars for our clans  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

I once saw people taking photos using Mi3 in previous threads, for me quite amazing leh the photos outcomes.

Taking photos at night time, and dark areas, still look very clear....my phone and ipad cant even take photos at dark areas lol, so many noise and cant see anything at all

refer below. so means need to root only can get a better cam outcome?

Tried the snooze thingy with my current Mi3 (Latest Dev ROM) & spare Mi3 (Stock MY ROM)
I can confirm that on both ROMs, the snooze "X" are there.

So it must be something else that caused the "X" not to appear on your phone. Maybe there's a setting that was turned off?
Yes, definitely worth it  laugh.gif
Every company takes our data but I think the issues raised in the forums about Xiaomi & Baidu was that they never disclosed anything nor what are their plans with the data.

At least with FB for example, we know they're using it to have targeted ads for more revenue streams.
sweat.gif
If you use latest dev rom with kitkat & google camera, you can see a lot of difference.

The problem is in the algorhythm of the camera rather than the hardware itself.
I don't think Xiaomi have a dedicated image departments like Sony or Lumia, hence the mediocre performance on stock camera

anyone knows how to change the region (without rooting/dev rom) to download region-locked apps like Plants vs Zombies 2 ?

It can be done on Huawei and Lumia phone but not Mi3.
And i dont think its available on Samsung either, last time using S3

need root to use google camera apk
It will be better than the stock camera, but nothing beats a well written camera algorhythm.

If MIUI V6 *cross fingers* were to come out soon, I guess they should come with a better camera

Without root, cannot use market enabler which I'm using with my Nexus.

Either that, a pirated app which is illegal to discuss here. cool2.gif

Actually if you know how to set manually, still can take quite decent picture. nod.gif

But not average user friendly la, hope for more improvement! smile.gif

It is the same sensor as Note 3, S4.

As you can see the software (camera firmware) is crucial.

It's better to assume mi3 is not equipped with gorilla glass 3
as no official statement mention it

Solved, what I did was replace the charger into a larger one. Less than an hour charging and Mi3 can boot up again.
Oddly, the original charger from Xiaomi can't help solve this problem sad.gif
