I just know that Maxis issue risen up till become article in Lowyat.net main page. This quite shocking but since Maxis & Xiaomi already informed about the issue, we'll just need to wait for fix or revert back to previous stable ROM, or just update to Dev ROM.. our thread became one of the sources for the article, glad our communities actively contribute about mi3. Thanks from me.

We knew that already. But as you said, it's just a temporary solution. This is very annoying and troublesome. So we need a permenant fix.

Permanent fix ? MNP ! Ditch Maxis problem solved.

After seeing so many people keep asking the same questions regarding the latest stable Kitkat rom, I thought I could provide some guides for you all.

For people who want to know about the details and changelog of the new Kitkat rom, check this thread

http://en.miui.com/thread-29591-1-1.html
For Maxis users who are considering whether to update or not, read through those threads before you make any decision.
http://en.miui.com/thread-27349-1-1.html
http://en.miui.com/thread-29221-1-1.html
http://en.miui.com/thread-29562-1-1.html
For Maxis users who regret after updating, 4 solutions:

1. Do not use wifi/data when you are calling or receiving calls.
2. Flash back to previous Malaysia stable rom JXDMYBD14.0.
3. Change telco
4. Ditch the phone and do not turn back (the extreme way). Yes. I know I am harsh about this. But to me, it's kind of ridiculous for Xiaomi to release such a "stable" rom before testing it in Malaysia thoroughly.

Note: Please read all of them. You may find it wasting your time on reading, but prevent is better than cure.

Upon reading this, I don't think there's a need to check your passport to confirm your nationality.

Everything will be intact. But no harm backing up just in case if anything happens.

A button for u to click in case u r too free.  cool2.gif

A multi function click button, which u can set it to do many task in your phone, wake the phone, lock the screen, take photo, recording, torch, video, we chat, call, sent sms, activate apps & etc.

My main purpuse buying it to use as alternative home button to on & lock the screen, since Mi3 had no physical home button afraid power button wear off prematually.

Not recommended. However, there's some maxis users who are lucky enough and don't have any issues after upgrade. If you want to try your luck, then go ahead. But do make sure you know how to recover to the previous version if you find out you cannot bear with the new rom.

like i mentioned, did anyone who faced issues with maxis did a factory reset to find out if it helps? i guess not.
