Good news everyone, test passed! I just tried to flash MIUI, failed to boot, so the answer is NO for MIUI.

I will see if i manage to post all guides by tonight, get your phone charged and make some backup if you want to upgrade to KK tonight.

Guys, need help here. Received my new Honor 3C from Vmall.my last 2 days, and it was a great phone. So there were an update available? B113 I think, proceeded with the upgrade. Today I decided to root the phone with vRoot and it was successful. Later I installed some apps as usual and the phone rebooted.

Now it stuck at the Honor logo (glowing) for long time until the phone gets really HOT. I quickly removed the battery. Tried again turning it ON still the same, it stuck with animated Honor glowing logo. So the phone was BRICKED? What should I do?

Tried the un-bricking guides on the first page still unsuccessful... Arghh, now am really tired since afternoon been trying. Appreciate any helps given, thank you...

Factory reset, clear wipe etc does nothing...

What apps have you installed?

Which guide? The one with update.app? If the first one didn't work please try guide #2 by cvg.

Your situation is a little bit different, i don't see how a normal OTA can brick a device.
Unless the update file was incomplete or corrupted, or your SDCard is bad, eg: has bad sector, but as far as i am concerned there are md5 verifications prior to the update, i am really curious what could be the cause, anyway, guide #2 should be able to recover your device.

My 3C battery life, charge to 90% and drain to 10%, streaming drama over nas, default screen brightness, full speaker volume, idle for a while during my dinner time.

Can't remember what app was that but it required another app for the xtra features by using Xposed something.

Thank you bro for your feedback. BTW the OTA update went flawlessly, no issues there. But it was after vRoot the pho ne and installing few apps end up the phone rebooted and stuck at the animated HONOR logo.

#1 - I'll try the UPDATE.APP again and snapshot the UPDATE FAIL msg, stating something about VER LIST etc ...
#2 - Tried with error stating BOOT LOCK ROM etc ... I'm using the files from the link given in guide #2 with ROM ver B008 Taiwan? Will try again with the "H30-U10 V100R001C900B108_SIGNED.rar" downloaded from GameSky's link.

Will post again with snapshots for both errors if unsuccessful again ...

if not mistaken, xposed framework is not compatible with our rom.. later will put in faq incase someone wanna install it..

OK bro, I just got back home and trying both method #1 (SD Card) and method #2 again using SP Flash Tools with firmware H30-U10 V100R001C900B108_SIGNED, still the same error as pic attached. Any clues?

My OS is Windows XP, all drivers installed correctly...

I even tried flashing the recovery-sign.img files only via SP Flash, but still the phone stuck at the animated HONOR logo... left for more than 10 mins also still the same...

P/s: probably I need the B113 version of "recovery-sign.img" which might work? Can anybody here provide me with the file? Very much appreciated, thank you...
