i dont think u should sleeve ribbon cables ler... if u really wan black rounded cables then just go get the CM black rounded cables...i have them and used to use them in my previous case... theyre actually very easy to work with. even did some form of 'folding.routing' with them...
for all u know if u sleeve ribbon cables ull probably end up with DFI-like cables.. as for ur current IDE cable why not just route it into ur bottom CDROM slot instead of it hanging there? that slot looks empty to me. |

That's the intention to keep it clean as well within the drive bay ... i would try to not spent any single cent for the time being ..... will try out any possible method .... spent around Rm8XX during the 3 days trip .... for all u know if u sleeve ribbon cables ull probably end up with DFI-like cables.. as for ur current IDE cable why not just route it into ur bottom CDROM slot instead of it hanging there? that slot looks empty to me. too bad it is kind of exessively long so i hang it there first .... will try out other way loh .....stay tune .... |

damn....the front bezel looks good man.... hhhmmmmm to
ur cable management looks much better now too... EDIT: just did the vibration thingy same way as u did... it works damn well man..now the only thing making noise would be the fans sadly with the pads on the hdd wont fit at the bottom bay of the HDD cage. had to transfer it to the top to make sure it gets adequate cooling... cant use the centre bay as thats a dead zone for the fan with my filter on. looks like its time to buy me some CM UV Silent fans to further reduce the noise. QUOTE(LordAlbel @ Sep 26 2006, 11:35 PM) Really take time, effort and MONEY to get this rig out.... So much struggling with hardware selection as well.... .AM2, P4 D, others.... Getting the case from Singapore was tough .. .custom (lucky didnt being charged with tax) Cable management take even more effort ... (thanks to the comment given by forumer here)... |

MUCH better now.....
and im glad u finally did something about the cables snaking around on ur case floor EDIT: y arent u using the IDE connector next to the 24pin connector?? wouldnt it be easier to route ur ide cable behind the cdrom bay if u used that one? This post has been edited by mADmAN: Sep 27 2006, 02:54 PM |

that is not the IDE cable connector.. that's the floppy cable connector... this is the problem of having 965P chipset .... officially the south bridge do not support IDE connector .. all are replaced with Sata connector (this mobo support 10 USB and 6 Sata II)...
somemore the placement of the adiditonal IDE connector by gigabyte was meant for those that still using Pata for HDD instead of Optical drive....as u can see it is a bit lame as the number of Sata optical drive still limited in the market ....... i am trying to find any long IDE cable that i can route it for longer distance so that not so visible.....
