Morning All smile.gif

Need some advises from you guys :

I'm getting my Honda City E spec soon drool.gif and i heard MANY people said ...

"If new car, u cannot drive more than 90km/h because for engine break-in period... must wait until next service (10k mileage) only u can drive more than 90km/h."

Now the problem comes, i will need to drive from KL to penang on that day i collect my car. If follow the 90km/h.... shocking.gif  shocking.gif then drive 6 hour also tak sampai penang lagi doh.gif

icon_question.gif any expert here can give some advice ?

Expert-

Actually what I hear and accumulate from experts + car professionals is;
- don't accelerate fast/high or pass 100km/h until your first service (1000km)

after that you can drive as you like. In my case I did not exceed more than 80km/h (sometimes people show finger at me cause drive slow lol) until my 100km service then everything stable from SC only i drive as i like.

Using the lower gears might cause your fuel consumption to increase.
For more power (when overtaking or climbing hills), just downshift to this 2 or L. If you're going downhill, just drive on D or if you wanna save petrol, stay at N. smile.gif

pls dont simply ask ppl to downhill on N.

Later downhill caused accident due to no engine brake and brake faulty. Who's going to responsible? Lol...still nod the head!!!

Really? Downhill on N? That's seriously bad advice.

Stick to low gear control and try not to burn/overheat your brakes going down by pressing on them all the time. Distance is your friend.

Downhill in N consumes more petrol than in D.

Not to mention extremely dangerous.

N= Neutral gear....lol...even more dangerous. When go downhill should avoid using brake and use lower gear to drag it. This is where S or L come into play....

Should use both engine braking (low gear) and footbrakes to assist each other.

Engine braking causes the engine to run lean (burning more oxygen than petrol), and running lean causes engine to run hotter.

So don't use engine braking for prolonged periods of time, it's OK to use the brakes once in a while to take the load off the engine.

My wife finally got her car after 3 wks (V spec) Metallic steel. But she found it quite hard to "anticipate" the front part while parking.
So I was thinking to install front sensor for her, to avoid her knocking into stuff. Anybody can recommend where to do it and roughly how much it will cost?
