Waiting for my car?

No. Belum book yet. Why? Some issues I need to clarify first AND the salesman is not that interested in doing my business. Maybe he is not the push push salesman. Ha.

I have also contacted Proton seeking clarifications. No reply even after a week. This brings up one thing I learn some years ago when buying a PC. The advice is, when you have problem in calling the company WHEN YOU WANT TO BUY A PC, and the company is difficult to get in contact with, just imagine the difficulty you will face when you need to contact them for service/repair after you have bought the PC. Same thing with this car purchase.

oo.. thought u book and order ady.. hmm.. buy car is depend on our luck 1.. some might got some problem some are not.. depend on people as well.. if ppl are very picky and try to find problem.. but since proton do got many service center, either official or authorised one..

Often issue that we heard is:
1.Disk brake (sound like helicopter)
2. Seat (fabric problem)
3. Sensor problem like VSC, or others
4. engine push start problem?! some cant start suddenly..

just check on these after we get the car.. then others see whether we can find out or not..

Even my ex boss S Class ( rm800k) broke down in one week on highway. Just unlucky he got a faulty engine. I have been buying cars past 30+ years of so many makes n each of them will have some minor issues. My worst experience was the Nissan Cefiro ( straight 6 cylinder ) n on day one itself the petrol leaked out after pump full due to poorly attached valve. Besides that issue there were no other problems with the car. This Preve already coming 10 months usage only problem was creaking sound at back which was quickly rectified within an hour
Those expecting a 100% perfect car should not even consider buying any car

correct.. worry too much problem will just stop them to buy anything.. i feel very great and happy for this preve.. even though i havent get my new car, still in proton there.. but i do test drive once before.. i feel very good coz im driving proton iswara aeroback and proton tiara only.. preve is a very big upgrade from myself.. many ppl stop me and ask me dont buy proton coz useless and no resale value.. ask go for city, vios or almera.. but i compare those car with preve, around 70k one all are expensive than preve but with no specs.. safety feature, inbuilt feature preve is the best ady.. i dont want buy 1 kosong car with just expensive on brand name.. for me just same, i better buy proton preve.. we have to accept the current situation where foreign national car is expensive than national car coz of tax.. at least in this moment.. no point go buy a kosong car and pay installment so suffer..

got issue or not after that will know ady.. any problem just rectify with sc only lo.. confirm will take my car on tuesday ady.. after that only post up my feedback on it..


**Not try to condemn other brand car ya.. yes they are good.. but i cant afford.. i prefer highest specs of car.. so if compare highest specs within T,H,N,P1.. still P1 cheaper a lot.. paiseh, i cant be with my friends which income only 2200 but buy honda city V specs.. so i cant make it..

Agree with you on the money one pays and the goods one gets especially for imported cars. The taxes for imported cars do not show up in the car, just go to the govt pocket. Compared to Preve, for about the same price (which I checked for Almera), Almera is just very basic. Preve has tons of added features, air bags, GPS, etc etc.

Wish that Proton will improve on its product quality immediately! Ha.

People who talk about RV only when buying a car...... should not buy a car...

I bet your Iswara/Tiara even after sold for $0 still make lesser losses compare to any Vios/City/Altis and above.

hahaha.. iswara still very healthy.. tiara a bit old ady.. want sell but cant sell.. haha.. that why renovate house since got 3 cars now while waiting tiara to be sold out..

i dont care about resale value.. coz in short term, i wont sell my car.. im not rich guy to keep changing cars like others.. hahaha..

For me.. RV is for those who intends to change car every 3 years.. to still retain a good value in order to roll over to next car..

Other than that..... always go for those you like and feel great driving it...

If scare rugi then they should always buy the cheapest car - Viva based on what we have in the market today..

Car after 5 years or 7 years you are doomed to lose a lot.. If 10 years? Any car with good value also will drop else who can afford paying cash? + people who has this amount of cash are likely upgrading their choice and use it for downpayment instead.. hence the value of car will drop no matter what once it hits these certain level of years

Agree. Want better deal then buy second hand iswara. Less than 10k now. Cheap and good.

i think sungai pinang there should be proton edar. as long as the service centre name as proton edar then is the officially big one.. others with authorised one also can, just smaller lo
