Long pressed? To deactivated, u must long press the button...(If im not mistaken) 

You have to press on the button for like 10 seconds to get it deactivated / off. Then a simple press back would activate back the ESC / Traction Control

ESC blinking means it is operating. No problem there. Example, I'm climbing the hill at MEX highway, it is raining heavily and there is standing water on the road. I keep pressing the accelerator, the ESC starts blinking. That is because the stability & traction control detects wheel slip and wheel spin, due to reduced tracting.

It reduces engine power & brakes individual wheel to maintain control. As a sign to me it is operating, and warning me I have reached the limit of traction, it blinks the ESC light.

installing reverse camera will void the warranty? any brnd will do?

Err that's to be safe on their side because the head unit on Suprima comes with reverse cam installed. Proton itself do not 'officially condone' us to install reverse cam on our Preve (CFE), except for LE variant. Just go to reputable autoshop like the EA Autoworks and the reverse cam can be installed on the existing head unit through plug and play method.

Horses for courses. Personally I would not recommend doing soundproofing. You may reduce the engine noise with RM1k-2k soundproofing but there will be other sound that may pop up later from inside the car(rattling of dashboard, squeaky sound from seats etc.), nullifying the soundproofing done to filter out sound from outside the car(engine, wind, tyres etc.) marring the driving enjoyment. And on top of that, when selling the car, all the cost that goes into the car will usually not be recovered.

In summary, I am just not into soundproofing or doing any sort of modifications to the car. Everything stock is best. What I think is if the car is quiet, it will be quiet. If it is noisy, it will be noisy. Similarly, I find the engine sound to be rather harsh and noisy during acceleration when compared to Japanese car. Overall NVH(wind, suspension and noise from traffic) is quite good to me. The sound from the traffic is quiet muted and the suspension does not make too much noise when going over bad roads or bumps. It is only the engine sound and CVT whine during acceleration that are slightly lacking.

i just notice this preve got a special function... or now all new car comes with this, during heavy rain we switch the wiper to full speed to wipe the screen, but when car slow down and stop at traffic light, the wiper turn slow also. once i start drive the car again, the wiper turn back to full speed. it follow the driving speed?

The back number plate of my car didn't fall off but it looked very flimsy at the edges and is curved outwards. Hence I took my vehicle to the nearest service centre to have it fixed. They used higher quality 3M double-sided tapes at more locations so it is all good now. The guy mentioned most stock vehicles use lower quality (and lesser) double-sided tapes on the car plate number and that may have resulted in some number plates falling off. No specific arrangement but basically just use more of those tapes, and the higher quality ones.

No problem. Yes, the SA can help you if he/she happens to have high quality 3M double-sided tape. In my case I took it to the nearest Proton service centre (since it is a waste of time to go to COSE for this small issue). If I'm not mistaken I didn't book for an appointment and just walk in. Since it is a small issue the service centre can accommodate.

I looked at the guy who is fixing the double-sided tapes on the car number plate. You may ask the guy to add more but if it is 3M double-sided plates that it should stick well. I noticed the original double-sided tapes are smaller in width compared to the thicker 3M tapes. And very few double-sided tapes are used too.

When I took the car, the car number plate is actually tilted to one side (slightly slanting position) and not exactly a perfect horizontal. The SA fixed it for me.

Did they not check the computer what is the error code? Your situation is definitely a fault of the ESC.
There are 2 things that come to mind:
1. Brake switch fault
2. Steering angle sensor fault

I am more inclined to think it is the steering angle sensor. Is your car properly aligned? When you are going straight, the steering wheel is straight, not titled to either side.

I've had ESC light error like you. Mine happens when I'm, taking a left hand curve at >80 kph. It is a gentle curve like this:

What happened was when I was taking that corner, the steering was pointing straight. The car detects that it is going left but the steering sensor says it should be going straight, hence the error. A proper realignment was all that was necessary.

If the problem still persists, the SC needs to recalibrate the steering angle sensor. The SC should be able to do it. I know Puchong SC can. I'm not sure which SC in Sarawak can do it.

Proton needs to audit the competency of their SC all across Malaysia.

There's a reason why branded are a bit more expensive. Most don't use lithium batteries. They use capacitors instead. That means the risk of fire due to heat is low. Lithium batteries tend to expand after some time and they might cause fire if they over heat. Dash cam gets heat up as you park the car under the sun.

Personally I'm using Papago Go Safe 110. Acceptable video & audio. I simply park under the sun. The dash cam is placed behind the rear view mirror so it is not that obvious. I've been using it for more than 1 year and the recording is as good now as it was when new. So it handles heat well.

On top of the head liner, through to the driver's A-Pillar, down to the foot well and then to the cigarette socket extender under the seat.

any of you familiar with the service regulation?

My preve is 14 months old and I just sent it for the 3rd service (20k). I should be getting 3x free service labour cost. However the place I went to said that it is only applicable if it is done within 1 year (12 months). So I had to pay the labour cost (rm66).

Is it correct?

what is that voucher actually? i thought 3 years free service ?
