After KK update the device seems to be considered as phone while previously it was detected as tablet.

Some of the app that was previously on tablet mode now change to phone mode.Example app YouTube.

I have to say Android haven't use the extra screen real estate to it full potential.I wonder how different it is compared to iOS on iPad.

Thanks for trying........ Will reinstall. Don't know what happened maybe the problem was caused by installing Opera beta first.

Im using Nova Launcher it still look the same from JB.Although the stock launcher does look bigger than JB.No problem with any app that I have at the moment.

I just preferred tablet mode on YouTube. It looks just wrong on phone mode in this large screen.Wonder if I can change it?Any tips guy's?

Clash of Clan also run on phone mode compared to last time tablet mode. Some app look better on phone mode some don't.It's just individual preference.

Time to dig how to change tablet mode.

Hi all, lively discussion for KitKat.

I was told that the Huawei MY FB site is flooded with unhappy users not getting KK for the X1, but it looks like a Mr. Lim Chin Wee is the one raising hell. Anyone from here?

Still, Huawei should just release the damned fw since it is already available for 503L and 501L Europe.

HuaweiDeviceMY are you listening to your users?

In all honesty, the fitness for purpose of the X1, or any other smartphone for that matter, is not detracted even though there is no update.

It is only because we are actually dealing with a powerful computing device which can be improved via updates that we users as a whole have come to expect updates.

In fact, IMHO, computing devices should ALWAYS be hackable.

FYI, just now I went to KLCC. There's a Huawei Authorised Dealer/Resellers (next to Machine...). They already have B005 for 7D-501L... Go check it out... it seems that the OTA is not "active"on purpose....... Since the Europe has already pushed B102 "offline"... looks like the update process needs to be via Over-The-Counter (OTC) instead....

I don't own the X1, but H3C instead.... my Honor 3C received OTA last 2 months... wonder why Huawei (Malaysia....?) reluctant to release OTA for X1....
