Hi,
Does anyone know if HP slate 7 voice tab ultra can be updated from the current 4.2.2
Thanks
*
I don't think so. Someone tried and bricked their device.

Any news on custom rom since source code already released.

None so far, probably the Russians may have taken a stab at it.

4G and LTE are taken to mean the same thing. It is just differently displayed in different regions.

I am looking forward to P8 Max a 6.8 incher rather than X2 as its replacement.
No idea when both will be available here

Me too. I already find 5.7" on the Note4 limiting lol.

If I didn't already have the 8.4" Tab S, I might take the P8Max.

Mate7 which I consider best 6 incher after having used Nexus6, LG G Pro2
I only wear baggy long pants or 3/4 shorts w deep side pockets. I can even slot in nicely X1 or Tab 7 without any problems. Pocketability has never been any issue with me

Hi,
I just bought a HP slate ultra in Singapore for $299, it comes with original screen guard and cover. I went to updates and found that a update to 4.4.2 was ready to be upgraded. Is it worth it to upgrade as I would like to keep photos and extra apps on the sd card. I took a screen shot of my phone .Attached Image Attached Image
Is the basic 4.2.2 the same as m1.
Thanks

Sadly, battery life is crap compared to X1.

However, I think age is catching up with me. I can discern that there is a real difference in watching stuff on 7" vs 8.4".

I get eyestrain quite fast nowadays, so that's why I switched to a larger screened device.

One side effect is that my side pouch has gotten larger lol but luckily it still hangs well on my belt.

Skip it and back up your stuff first if you are afraid of losing it.

95+% of people never perform backups and cry later. Sad but true.

I still prefer 4.2.2 as my 3c is still on this and I like it. Any advantage of upgrading the system.

No real difference unless you intend to get an Android Wear device. Android Wear is only supported on 4.3 and later.

As long as you're happy with 4.2.2 you can stay with it.

Make sure you backup regularly.

As a happy owner of Ascend Mate since it first launched (still using), I am very keen to try Huawei x1.

I wonder if any X1 owners would like to consider swapping with one of my gadgets. They are all in very good conditions. If no one wants to swap, I will take it to mean that my current devices are good enough for my needs since they are really great devices to own. But if someone wants to swap, I will be able to satisfy my curiosity regarding the Mediapad x1 and regarding whether this is more suitable for my needs of large screens phablets. i wouldn't say that paarting with either one of these devices is an easy thing to do but it is sometimes a necessary sacrifice in order to explore an interesting device such as the x1.

1.) Xperia Tablet Z 10.1 inch (WIFI/without LTE MODEL) / running latest Android 5.1.1 cyanogen custom rom by qsnc in xda developer forum

2.) Huawei Ascend Mate (I will top up a bit)

3.) MSI net book (Model:U270/AMD E-450/4GB RAM/500GB HD/64bit OS : BODHI 3 (LINUX UBUNTU)/USB3x1/USB2x2/HDMIx1/SD card reader/webcam/11.6 ins display/wifi/bluetooth)/(if need windows 64bit, you need to install by yourself, sorry)

Thanks

I'd say it's a little bit on the high side for RRP.

The coupon however does bring it down to the X1 RRP. I believe some patience will pay off, but at 1239, it's not too expensive.
