i don't like having screen protector. i want to peel off the protector but i don't know if the screen is scratch proof.

To protect your phone screen it is wise to install the screen protector. You can try the tempered glass.

Anyone manage to update the latest version OTA for 501L(B012)? I can't do the update and when I checked the update package it seem like the build.prop might be the cause because it shows funny characters. Maybe Huawei Malaysia didn't or forgot to save it as GBK file. Frustrated.

Are you checking the current local.prop?

You can try setting your locale in your text editor to GBK. I saw this the last time I tried to edit it.

Successfully update my firmware to M'sia B102. All stuffs/files/apps remain intact after update. Rerooted it back using VRoot 1.79

Uncle, so you got OTA to flash even when you have CWM recovery?

Did you have to reflash stock recovery first?

My device have Germany rom B102 but no OTA update notification yet.

I updated mine OTA this morning from Msian B008. Read few posts earlier up.
You can download b012 from XDA. Put the update.app file in dload folder on ext sdcard n restart phone to install

This is already latest. Since you are on German rom you won't get notification on Msian rom update.

I updated ota this morning to b012 n this is a shot of build.prop file. Really don't understand your issue n where did you get this file as update is auto thro OTA

Just successfully updated thro OTA..was on Malaysian rom. Update was very smooth with everything intact..... no need to reinstall any of my 107 apps.

I also don't understand what is wrong with my phone. Maybe it is because I root the phone and modified the build.prop to hide the navigation bar. I will try to figure it out. Worst case I will flash stock B008 and update to B012. Thanks.
