Are ASOP similar with IOS?

no.

In simple words, Aosp is the clean untouched version of android.

AOSP (final/stable/optimize version) should be comparable with IOS. In term of lag.

While Non AOSP without Good Hardware backing in most cases will lag sweat.gif

While AOSP lower spec phone can run smoothly.

Good morning.
Plan to root my phone based on the guide on page 1.
Tutorial Guide #1
How to Root MI3

My question is, am I still able to update to official MIUI firmware when it's available in "System Updates"?
Thanks.

Basically means AOSP is Raw Android OS.

Custom ROMs means that people take that raw android OS then tweak it to match the performance of the intended device.
Example, dual core device may operate apps differently than quad core ones

Been using mikey for my Galaxy S4.

Looking at battery consumption, the mikey app (Chinese) process seems to take 3% of the battery with wakelock number 80 times and 11 min. in total. That is without clicking on mikey even once.

For Mi3 or MIUI, nothing much to learn about ROMs, most likely no custom ROMs for Mi3 in the near future

I never let mikey app run on the background (straight away clear everytime it run automatically), but I still can use the shortcut clicks without the app running hmm.gif

Sorry guys, quick question. I bought Mi3 from Mi website, but the order is missing after I made payment. Is this normal? There's no email stating that I have made payment, only the paypal invoice, and I can't even track my Order right now. Appreciate some help on this.
