Hi, have you guys encounter screeching noise from the brakes?
My car is only five months old. took the car to SC they say they have checked and resolve the problem. However the screeching noise came out again just after a few days. I don't think the brake pads are worn off since its just a five months old car. I suspect that the SC did not really resolve the problem, they just tried to clean the brakes as i noticed that the wheels were wet when i get my car back.
Any advice? as i will be visiting SC next week for 10k service and will raise the problem again to them. The Screeching noise is very annoying mad.gif

screeching can be due to dust entering the gap in between the brake pads and discs

u can request them to apply brake grease but there are no way to permanent solve this issue.

If the screeching noise is while braking, most likely worn pads. Have a look at the brake disc. if you can see circular groves, then definitely worn pads. You might have to change disc also. Since you say your car only 5 months old, i doubt it's the pads. Good idea to check at other SC.

The brake discs for the front two tyres was already changed as i complained about vibration during braking when i got the car for only two months. Before changing the brake disc there are no screeching sound coming out. After changing, the brakes starts to produce screeching sound. the brakes disk replacement was done in NUSAJAYA SC and i asked them why is there screeching noise they say it will go away after some time and they are not willing to do anything about it mad.gif . Then i went to the PLENTONG SC they checked for me but i think they just washed out the dust and returned the car to me. I have attached pictures of the brake disc and pads. My car is due for 10k service next week, what can i ask them to do???

So much for a "European car" mad.gif , its very time consuming whenever i need to go to the SC, I have attached a picture of the brake disk and pad, please advice me on what to do for my next visit and thanks for all the replies and advices you guys are really helpful biggrin.gif thumbup.gif

did u ask ALL the honda owners out there? anyway, bigger disks and pads means more chances to catch sand compared to puny 230mm disks on the class Bs u mentioned.

my other car, another class B has this problem too.

when sound appears, wait for the disk to cool down and flush it with a lot of water. check again if it squeaks.

or maybe a rat is hiding in your car?

Another good practice when the car is cool down... wash the rims with clean water...just using high pressure from the main pipe, you notice alot of brake dust will come out.... Black in color.
