Previously I write Demon's Souls.. but then it's being directed by director Hidetaka Miyazaki who does Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. So it's probably the same thing anyway.

Does this game have a difficulty level setting? hmm.gif Looks interesting but I'm worried it will be too difficult for me since I really suck with those games that need well timed attacks and blocks. sweat.gif

Never tried the Souls series before on PS3 though I did play Dragon's Dogma.

This game really attracts me and made me feel like pre ordering this game.

When I watched the gameplay, feel amazed with the gloomy graphics and fighting against bigger size monsters.

To me, based on the video, this game is similar to God of War and I am a big fan of this game.

Anyone pre order the limited edition?

That's... actually the whole point of the game. To struggle to finish it. blink.gif

Difficulty is measured by a person's skill and also to a certain extent, the starting character's stats. Just like in the Souls games before.

Ermm not really GoW but pretty similar to Dark Souls or Demon's Souls.
Watch some of the gameplay of the game i've mentioned.

It's pretty difficult and challenging. Really need a lot of skills and patience.

Haha... I hope there is bro. But if I'm not mistaken, the previous Souls series don't have difficulty settings.

Had the chance to play the alpha demo, its pretty good and there is a lot of new stuff too. But, what excite me most is the chalice dungeon, just cant imagine how many hours it will milk from my life.

Plus, dark souls 2 scholar of the first sin is coming on april which is nice

is Bloodborne Limited Hunter Edition is the same as collector's edition ?

Yes apparently alot of gamers in the UK are pretty angry with From Software and have threatened to sue.

It's on the news today. Can't understand why Bloodborne is such a joke. The graphics is PS1 standard. Cancelling my pre-order as well.

yesterday i watched one of the unboxing videos and theres this noob filming it in the toilet, lol. camera in one hand, unboxing with the other. so clumsy. then he accidentally showed the dlc redemption code on the slip, and didn't even bother to blur it or edit it out. then i was like hmmmm..... the view counter on the page says im 3rd viewer, so i decided to give it a try.... and bammm! lol... got this:

i never doubted hidetaka miyazaki's games.... ever since i played demon's souls (the first rpg i played, interestingly)... whatever he cooks up next are just auto "sign me up".... needless to say, i bought a ps4 just to play bloodborne...

As awesome as DS2? I think it is much better. I personally think DS2 was the worse in the Souls series, too many fundemental flaws IMO. Bloodborne is a Miyazaki game, just like the first Demon Souls. If you liked Demon Souls, you'll like Bloodborne, but if you hated it then chances are you will not be able to sink yourself into Bloodborne.

That's at least my view.

Miyazaki had very little to do with Dark Souls 1 and 2. So yeah, if you liked Miyazaki's design in Demon's Souls, you will love Bloodborne. Almost everything has been amped up.

Then that "infamous" 40 sec loading video is not having the day 1 patch installed. I can confirm this because I just watched a stream an hour ago and the loading after death was 23 seconds (I timed it).

Yes it will be buggy. Don't expect a solid, no-exploits, crash-free experience. That said, compared with Dark Souls 1 and 2, Bloodborne is definitely a lot more polished on day 1 in comparison.

Like I said, if you liked Demon's Soul, get Bloodborne day 1. It's damn good. Chalice dungeon can be accessed after you get the Holy Chalice.

Yes, always loved the monster designs from Demon's Soul. Bloodborne goes even better. The environments are also quite detailed, great level design too!

Yes, you can get a shield in Bloodborne. However, the shield is practically useless. The whole point of Bloodborne is to encourage offensive gameplay, no more of those turtling bs in last 3 Souls games.
You want to win, you fight smart and skillfuly. Not cover and wait until tomorrow for an opening. Love the new mechanic.

I like the fact that the regain system gives you an incentive for quick attacks. Which means faster pace action. Which means a lot more dodging. Which means they would have retweaked the stamina system...OMG. rclxub.gif

Is this your first "Souls" type of game? I do think Bloodborne is actually even tougher for those who has never had any experience with the previous titles, even though they are mechanically different to quite a noticeable extent.

With Demon's Soul, you have the opportunity to turtle with shields. Furthermore, parry and riposte was ridiculously easy, you just have to learn the relatively lax opening window for it for each enemy. This goes the same to an extent with Dark Souls 1 & 2 as well, the shield really did help many newcomers to learn the game.

In Bloodborne, things are different. You're into the game and then it expects you to either get good or keep dying (and stop playing). There's that sort of intense feeling there, turtling with a shield is impossible in Bloodborne. You will need to learn how to dodge, parry and riposte. What origins/class did you guys select?

and what starting weapon? I selected the hunter axe as a starting weapon seeing that it deals the most damage. I'm starting to regret it lol. The axe is slow as hell.

Thanks for the feedback. smile.gif Never played a souls game before, didn't preorder cause was worried the learning curve is quite tough. Sounds like it is indeed tough. Probably need a lot of patience to learn.

i only met with the cleric beast once, and another boss dunno called father something.

how u guys co-op? i tried activating beckoning bell but it didn't work.

and this is my first miyazaki game so yes, it is very difficult for me right now.

Though, Souls games provide a type of satisfaction that not many games these days can achieve once you've beaten something tough skillfuly.

Bloodborne, even more so.
You can choose to wait a little bit for From Software to iron out some of the glitches (non of which are quite game breaking, yet) and to hopefully improve the performance of the game.

After a few hours with the game, I have only 2 complaints (so far):

1) Frame rate would sometimes dip. Inconsistent frame rates.

2) When you die, be prepared to wait at least 20-25 seconds for loading. This is really annoying.

I'm not sure, I played with the patch.

Still need to wait after dying. And the waiting time is quite long.

It's not 25 seconds. Its 44 seconds even after the patch. LOL

i don't mind about the loading screen.

i am playing while chatting in a party chat so i don't feel that long even after i die. So during the loading screen, i chat with my friends.

No, the patch only improved framers ten and fixed a few hugs with some of the bosses but does not really reduce load times.

All I know is that From Software is continuing to improve the frametime (to reduce stuttering) and is also looking at how to reduce load times. I honestly wouldn't be so bored at the land screens if they actually put some lore or artwork, instead of the just game's title.

Anyone managed to claim the free messenger top hat DLC? When I input the code for the DLCs, I could only download the ost and theme. The paper in the case says there are 3 DLCs.

ok i see no one mentioning co-op part. gd morning btw.... im sure most of u will struggle with trying to hook up with a fren for co-op as i had too, being a souls veteran myself.... but finally manage to figure it out and had a short co-op session witrh my fren.... tonite gonna tackle bosses together.... for those who not sure, ask away.... i'll just leave it to u guys to figure it out urself first....

accumulate 10 insights (the eye icon below ur blood echoes counter).... u can use madman's knowledge to get insights also. then at the hunters dream, there's another fountain shop above the usual one, right beside the door. it says u need to buy with insight but only works if u have 10. then, u can buy the small beckoning bell with 1 insight. u can also buy the bell for invading, and some other stuff.... all paid with insights. ok, for to setting up co-op part:

host use the beckoning bell (big one which u get at the stairs beside the doll). make sure the area is safe, no mobs wandering around there or else u cannot use the bell, it will be greyed out. and do remember each time u ring the bell, 1 insight is consumed.

for aiding partners/guests, use the small beckoning bell at the same place (not sure if limited to the whole area within boss level). wait. wait. viola!

remember, to play with friends, go to your game settings, under network, choose password enabled and use same password for both of u. then try using local instead of worldwide if all of u are same region psn. worldwide kinda takes longer to summon, i guess, since it has to filter through so many users for the matching password. thats it!

Combat wise, it plays something like Monster Hunter. Gotta figure out when to attack and what to avoid.
More to reaction based fights as compared to the usual button mashing on most games.

If you are playing Bloodborne like you would play Onimusha, then obviously you're going to have a very hard time progressing. Timing is crucial.

I know Onimusha has timings for the "Issen" tech too, but unlike Onimusha games, monsters don't do pee damage to you. Movements are also entirely different between the 2 games.
If you think the Lycans are crazy hard, then what you will see just a few more areas after that will make you throw your controller against the wall.

So, what were all your starting weapons/build?

Started with Kirkhammer. I love the damage and versatality with the sword.
Now I know you can just purchase all of the other weapons a little later in the game, so it doesn't really make a huge difference.

Just interested to know what everyone started out with.

From the videos , realised the hero could not jump to avoid the attack ?

And the boss will regain full health when we try for the next attempt after the hero dies ?

Never play any Souls series before and thinking should I try this one .

I was using Kirkhammer but i switched back to the saw cleaver as i noticed the dps is much better. i also using battle axe and a blunderbuss.

Finally I reached the cleric beast, and got slaughtered.

The worst thing is I spent all my blood vials in the fight lol.

Now have to actually farm around again for souls to buy blood vials.

Btw I encountered a female hunter wearing a raven mask, who gave me things. I "accidentally" attacked her, and now shes like chasing me everywhere sleep.gif

Try to lure them one by one. (throw a stone)

haha thanks for the suggestions dude, but I actually ran past them. Couldnt be bothered to fight them. I think they are optional anyway, and I dont need the souls, I already have full hunter attire already.

played until sun rise again lol.... zombie mode.... anyway, made some more progress on day 2, killed 2 more bosses, 4 total. discovered a lot of places to go. the 3 tombstones portal at my hunters dream are all activated.... had some co-op fun with couple of friends. we took turn to kill each other's bosses.... but sometimes summoning damn long.

few people on my end are experiencing the same thing i am having and we are not even co-oping together. Its not an unplayable dip but its very obvious its not smooth be it the Beckoner or the Co-operator.

so far, no area restrictions on bell usage... unless that area u haven't unlock the passage to the boss, then u cant summon.... for instance, the cathedral ward boss u need to buy the emblem to unlock the gate first... if u havent done that, no summoning....

only noticable frame dips for me is at old yharnam where the machine gun guy keeps sniping u at the area with a lot of burnt bodies.... prolly cos of the amount of smoke and fire particles on screen.... but not caused by connectivity.

bell is a unique item.... not consumable, so can use infinitely. the bell for hosting is given to u early in the game, while the bell for aiding guests have to be bought from "insight shop" in the game hub.

can u join ur fren's game normally? yes and no. there are criterias. both of you have to be at the same boss area when ringing the bells. and i am guessing that there is a lvl gap limit between the players too... maybe 10 lvls above and below the host only can join. so if u are new to the game and only lvl 10, ur fren already lvl 50, i dun think he can be summoned by u.

by default, the game will summon players to help u randomly, but u can filter this with a password in the network settings so that only friends with the same password can be summoned. thats how u play with a fren. if u no fren leave the password blank.

Haha I guess now you know people arent fooling around when the say the game is punishing.
Demon Souls were harder though because it was the first one of its kind and people dont know anything about it.

I just level up to 40+ finish 5 boss. Did you guys happen to encounter bug? You know about the guy shooting on top of the tower. If you charge attack him and push him of the tower, the loot will floating and you will not get the loot. Dem then i go back on top of the tower again only getting hunter badge.. doh.gif

Some sack tall guys will kidnap you if you die and bought you to higher level of dungeon. The heck lighting bosses. Man die horribly cry.gif.

ok, I get how to play this game now... but I stuck on the first boss, both of them... do you farm the kills and upgrade first or just go fight the boss die and repeat until you defeat them?

Yes you can farm if you want. just open the shortcut to the bonfire. Or maybe you can restart again until cause now you know where to go. and keep the molotov for the boss cause that im doing the 1st time sweat.gif

thanks.. already found all the shortcut I think... gonna try again tonight, hoard all the molotov and oil urn before the boss biggrin.gif ... also maybe can watch some youtube on how to defeat the boss...

There is a right pathway before cathedral beastgirl boss, if you continue down you will encounter 2 axe wielder and there is a room after them. You cant enter the door. But if you stay long enough at the door a floating ghost will grab you and stare at you while eating your soul. Then you died if you low level i think cause that happen to me. I thought it a boss but there is no life bar on it. blink.gif

You mean upgrade character stats? You need to face the first boss, after that no matter die or lose, go back to dream world and the doll can now upgrade your character

Actually, that's half correct. You need insight to talk to the doll, of course just seeing the boss once will get you 1 insight. But you can already get the Madman's Knowledge skull (which grants insight) after the area of the first mob.

So... yeah. Don't have to put yourself at risk with plenty of echoes before facing the first boss.

How i wish the combat speed is more faster (R1) like GOW and able to use blood vial quickly when in fighting. Arrggghh...Blood Echoes turns 0 after 'You Died'..kidding me?!

day 3 of bloodborne for me was brutal for me..... lost 60k souls in the forbidden woods..... that damn boogeyman (tall guy holding sack with ridiculous stomping leg that eats 90% of ur hp)...... and the woods is.... is... a farking maze..... i really can get lost in there easily....

Sold my copy already. I have to admit this game is well designed, but it's much too frustrating. I think this kind of games are for a specific niche of players, I personally prefer playing games to relax and have fun, not to end up frustrated and angry lol.

Its quite sad you do not get to see amazing points about this game deep down. I am not a soul player and i can understand the frustration but i took my time to fully understand the mechanics and suddenly i am addicted to it. This game is high risk high reward type of game. However it also forces or rather teaches you to be patient understand the surroundings and enemy movements. I agree to disagree that this game caters to a niche. I wouldn't say is even a niche as evident this game is high on the list of games due to the popularity of the previous Soul games (minus Dark Souls II). As many vet soul players have said, You need to embrace death to see the fruition of your effort.

hmmm i did not expect to play this game so well cause i used to played dark soul series in pc and survive with cheats haha. at first the monster is ridiculous strong, but after a while you hunt them many time since the give plenty souls. haha. and i love axe! charge attack can flinch enemies.(plus nice range too) haha rclxm9.gif

Suspend mode doesn't work with Bloodborne, not if you choose to play online that is. Damn it. And I thought I can skip 2 minutes of waiting just to start the game.

Just got my game today!! Never play any soul's game before but really enjoy bloodborne biggrin.gif but really got a shock once died all blood echoes all gone...i do have a question if we die multiple time to the same enemy can the blood echoes be fully retrieve back??? tongue.gif

one the best features of this game is the emotional rewards that you received after beating a boss.

of course it is not easy to defeat a boss in bloodborne.

here is one the defeat that i experience when fighting the second boss. the battle is very much intense unlike any other game.

If you say about bug, i lost my blood echoes to monster. then i go back again to the monster again who should have glowing eye unfortunately the monster dont have glowing eye. The glowing pair of eye only floating beside the monster. and also has a hp and cant be hit blink.gif . haha there goes my 70k blood echoes. sweat.gif

Good News for Bloodborne players,
As discovered by some players, the difficulty of the game depends on how many Insight you currently have in-game. The threshold for difficulty increase is >15 Insight. So if you have >15 Insight and are having difficulty with the game, you should try lowering it as it can make the game much easier.

Beat blood stained beast after multiple tries. First started to be careful and throw lots of bombs. In the end use up all also cannot beat it. And I decided to "Fxxk it! Let's get aggressive!!!". No bombs, no nothing. Just shotgun and visceral attack. The win was so satisfying!

agree. especially the boss has it's own temper as well. the cleric boss you defeated in the video get somewhat crazy when his life reduce to 20-30 %.
rarely we see this type of boss in nowadays game.

Not really much easier. Once after a point in the game (for example say near late-game), getting Insight back down to under 15 will make very little difference to the difficulty of the game. But having a high Insight, say 30 or more will make the game even harder than it is. There's rubberbanding on the difficulty.

After a frustrating run with Matyr Logarius, decided to try another boss i had trouble too, thankfully this went well. Finally another wall i overcame and so satisfying. Spoiler tagged for those that have not seen the boss.

Just started? You need to meet the first boss (cleric beast) at least once (doesn't matter if you beat him or not). When you go back to the hunter's dream, the doll will become alive and can level up there

ACTUALLY, u do not need to get to the boss first to activate the doll, jyou just need to have at least 1 insight. u automatically get an inisght when u enter the boss fight, so thats an option. but if u can loot a madman's knowledge, then u can lvl up without needing to risk losing ur echoes to the boss.

Stuck at the boss in Old Yarnham. Still can't beat him after three rounds. Gotta take a break now and try again later. The axe is feeling a bit slow for this fight.

Yes indeed.

I actually highly recommend to go to the sewers to get a Madman's Knowledge instead of crossing the bridge and dieing to the Cleric Beast once. This will allow you to farm on the Yarnhamites a little bit to get some levels.

If you actually pump just a few points into Vit, Endurance and Skill/Str (depending on your build), Cleric Beast is actually quite easy. It's just the matter of dodging his attacks. I had 13 vit and 14 endurance before going in to fight the Cleric Beast, killed it pretty easily on the first try.

So apparently, Chikage Katana scales well with Bloodtinge (S). Kind of makes me sad as I've went for a Quality build. The katana also depletes HP in two-hand mode, darn!

This game has already given me a couple of jumps! I feel the new Victorian aesthetic makes it scarier than previous Souls games.

Blood starved beast is the poison one. I died lots of times there too. At first parry and then visceral attack was quite easy, then once it started spewing poison and getting very aggressive...uggh. Died there a lot. In the end I decided to continue with my counter and visceral attack, but need to be fast and careful. Those poison can kill you very fast

first time will feel the creepiness and the scary atmosphere will get to you but soon after, frustration will take over and then your will is gonna be tested to see how patient you are. From there on, nothing seems scary and creepy anymore laugh.gif

long story short. I almost destroyed my only controller with a twist out of rage against Gascoigne. Sounded like bad news to me. I think I should stop playing.

I quit many multiplayer games because of my anger management. sweat.gif

It's a 10/10 because it's the perfect game for its genre, which is a "I'm gonna kick your a$$ and you're gonna cry, but when you win you will feel accomplished" genre.. It's not a 10/10 like GTA V where it's just pick up the game, kill some people, get killed by the cops, respawn with a little less money and do it all again.

okeyy. it seems like you assume I bought the game because of the review scores, which is not in my case. I pre-ordered the game two months earlier. Regardless, I'm well aware of the game developed by From Software; the maker of soul series. My bad for not being patient enough.

Haha I actually found Father Gascoigne easier than the Cleric Beast. Just do the normal dodge and hit till he transforms. When he does just spam molotovs and he will be dead in no time.

Yeap they can invade your game if you play online.

When you reach 10 insights or more a shop will open just outside the house in hunter's dream on the cliff. You can then buy a bell using insights to invade other online games.

i killed the cleric beast at 3rd tried, but failed to kill father gascoigne more than 10 times.
that cemetery have too many gravestone blocking me, always blocked when try to dodge. cry.gif
and the beast mode is too aggressive i have no time to heal myself.

First things first, use the tombstones as your shield. It blocks his gun shots and prevents him from stunning you.

Second, use the visceral attack. I can't stress this enough. Visceral attacks makes Gascoigne a laughing joke. The fact that he has the same moves as you do should make it very easy to read his movements.
When he goes beast mode, just dodge and attack, otherwise use molotovs. In fact if you are confident enough, just visceral him again.

So far I think Gascoigne is the easiest boss in the game. He is too easily predictable.

I think Gehrman is much easier to beat compared to Gascoigne.

When you get Gehrman down to 30% life, he gets more powerful tho

man matyr logarius. only tiny bit hp left then my pot already finish. should abandon hp+10% then taken up hp pot mad.gif amydala seem keras with axe. decide to skip it. ughhh. another one at top tower. 3 more boss cry.gif.

The only legitimate use of this bug is that if you are trying to try different builds. Because there is no re-spec feature in Bloodborne, I don't know who would have the time to spend hundreds of hours just leveling to get the character they want.
However, one has to be disciplined to not lvl up and then steamroll through, otherwise there is no purpose to it.

Unfortunately, eventhough there is a patch that will fix this bug, one can always delete the patch, go offline, do the bug, save and then update the game. So yeah, not much FS can do about this.

Also, thankfully that PvP is designed in a way that both players can only be between 10 lvls of each other max.

Tried BSB another two times and failed. I've never summoned for help in a Souls game before but I don't have a lot of time to play games anymore and I don't want to be stuck at this thing forever. I rang the summoning bell.

Never has a victory felt more hollow. As I was whittling down its last bar of health, the pent up frustration of previous defeats started to give way not to a sense of accomplishment, but to a feeling of emptiness and regret.

I'm never summoning again.

I don't see how this would justify of using a glitch to try out different builds as if you do want to max out, all builds end up the same way. Considering each stat has a soft and hard cap, it won't make much difference end game.

To make the cascoigne easier, first you need to find a windows where you can interact with (it is somewhere in Central Yharnam). A girl will give you a musicbox.

After Gascoigne transform into werewolf, play the music box. It will make him vulnerable for 3-4 seconds. Quickly go behind him and attack by holding R2 which will make him stagger. Quickly follow with visceral attack.

At this point the Werewolf Gascoigne will lose around half his life.

i also faced similar problem like yours. i posted on reddit and few of them did give some good advise on how to defeat Gascoigne. here is the link.

and as always, never give up.

Gargoyles at Cainhurst Castle IMO. I've gotten like 5 chunks in 12 runs, so that's nearly 50% drop rate and I think that's pretty good. The Giant at Lecture seems to drop them as well, but I think it's faster to just farm Gargoyles.

Very tough and challenging. For example, casual enemies come in gang and might kill you in two or two attacks.

manage to clear nitemare of mensis and slay the boss solo last night.... damn 9 7 hard.... then found the blood rock i needed to up my ludwig holy blade to +10. Trophy unlocked!!! now, how the fark m i supposed to kill all these frenzy brain farkers?! walk walk walk, boom! frenzy explosion then die.....

Damn it, I'm still trying to get a blood rock. Where did you find it?

BTW, I messed around with Chikage katana. Damn it becomes freaking OP with a high bloodtinge stat and in 2-handed mode. It sucks your life like a leech, but high risk = high reward! Awesome to use, but I can see that the sword will kill you first (instead of an enemy) if you cannot land hits effectively.

I just run away/pass them. I also just cleared nightmare of mensis, hard as heck but rewarding but took me awhile to complete no thanks to constant invasion.

Guys, can help me understand what is Chalice?

I use it and then summon a 3 layer dungeon? Once beat all the boss I get new Chalice then I can summon another one to challenge? But I see online the players are sharing the code? What for? Every dungeon is random with own treasures?

yes each chalices has other of the chalices, example Pthumeru Chalice gets you Central Pthumeru Chalice, sometimes you will also get chalices that has the word Root on it. Those are the randomly generated dungeons. The reason people share the dungeon codes so that people can get the loots they want and also they can help out in the dungeons. Loots in the dungeon will always remain the same.

Finally beaten The One Reborn and out of the unseen village. Most irritating stage by far with the giant beings and bell maidens respawning creeps.

Was damn lucky, just as I handed the final blow to kill The One Reborn got hit by a fireball and died.

Just got off bloodborne last night. Wander around aimlessly and end up getting ass whipped by father whatever. Didn't know that there was a cleric boss earlier to allow me to lvl up lol. Just busy opening up shortcuts (as per any souls game).

Father Gascoigne is pretty hard. Cleric beast is kinda easy. Blood soaked Beast is not too hard only thing annoying is the poison. Witch of Hemwick is easy. Vicar Amelia is not too hard either.

Yeah died couple of time before taking a break. Am doing straight up attack but getting use to the new system. Never did a visceral Atk yet as well coz didn't know it exists lol. Should able to get by in next attempt

I personally think Father G has been the easiest boss in the game. He is so easy to counter and do visceral attacks on. Visceral attacks does massive damage to him too, so it only took like 3 or 4 counters and he's dead.

The one that are difficult are the optional bosses IMO. The reason being is that the semi-open nature of the game, where you could face a boss way earlier than you are supposed to. For instance I fought Paarl, got killed in 1 hit. Have zero chance of error. doh.gif

i killed it in like after 3 tries? even though i didn't play any souls game before, but after understanding the game in the 1st 5 - 10 hours, i apparently grasp how it works.

and so far i'm enjoying it, and i think i'm near the end game part.

I dunno, I went around farm and even got the entire Hunter garb. Leveled up a few times too with madman's insight.

For some reason the awkward camera angles when fighting the cleric beast just adds to the difficulty. Sometimes all I see is like the cleric beast's ass and thats it.

I tried locking in and dodging about, but when I got him down to 1/3 HP, he starts doing all these stupid swings in front.

I dunno, maybe I'm too used to the Onimusha/diablo hack & slash gameplay lol

The camera angle can be a frustrating factor but it happens to all soul games hence it always encourage to use lock on targetting and non lock on.

Damn, just really messing around with all the weapons. Stakediver's charge attack is the bomb! It's ridiculously slow, but it's so stupidly powerful that it's... it's, I don't know! What a weapon.

i havent found it yet doh.gif the riflespear 2h charge is insane! you lunge like 10m forward. i killed BSB by using the riflespear 2h. it does a quick poke when you dodge attack. so i pretty much dodge poke BSB to death lol laugh.gif

Wait, how come you haven't found it yet if you have already beaten BSB? I mean, you get the badge to purchase the Stakedriver after beating Djura. He's in Old Yarnham, the one using the gattling gun shooting at every damn thing. Unless you entirely just ignored him?

Well, the stakedriver is with him.

Funny story though, I got up to him and got blunderbuss'd just like everyone else. Fell to my death.
Second time, I went up to him and roll'd over. Started the fight and all, he's pretty easy to read but not easy to parry due to the stakedriver's speed (unless he's charging).

I was actually having a pretty difficult fight, until somehow he was on the edge of the tower and I just shot him once with my blunderbuss, naturally he would dodge but instead he fell to his death by dodging. LOL!! laugh.gif
His health was still at 50%, I was only left with 6 blood vials.

Man I can't play this game on weekdays. After a full working day the stress levels from this game will just make my heart explode. Can't wait for the weekend when I can dedicate time to it!

the battle in bloodborne is more on your battle against the camera view, not the boss most of the time. laugh.gif Just found the bridge where u will find the cleric beast yesterday and it turns out to be there's another faster way round. doh.gif

Happen to my gameplay last night, when mobs chase u and u quickly descend ladders, the moment they fall off the edge, and u gain free blood echoes without battling them.

Patch 1.02 is out. Item dupe glitch is patched, as well as the bug is forbidden forest. There are also some gameplay exploits, those of which you can skip areas entirely.

Hope the next patch is to get the framerate at a solid 30fps with no stutters.

It's always been stuttering since day 1. There are alot of runt frames, where it drops between 28-30 frequently on any scene. Places like Old Yarnham is the worst, where frames drop to around 22-24. The main problem are the stutters, not the average framerate per se.

Example, the stuttering actually made the fight between the riflespear hunter at old yarnham a lot more difficult than it should be (for me at least), not because he's strong.

Don't know anyone face this problem before or not.

when i fighting Father Gascoigne, on his second mutation the screen suddenly went black. (i'm using monitor btw) i able to listen audio but the screen went black. tried to restart a lot of times but still the same issue.

First i thought is my monitor is overheat, i tried to let it cool down for few hours and switch it on again but still the same issue happened.

Tried to google but can't get any solution.

Tried on others game, non stop playing for half a day no problem at all.

hopefully yo get some feedback here.

Yes, just only second mutation when it ROAR~~ than black screen.
other game all no problem. i tried dying light, COD, dragonball n etc. straight few hours playing all no problem.

But as for second mutation, even i just on my PS and straight go over there the issue still come out. i'm so frustrated now.

Weird... mine has been smooth 50-60 fps most of the time rarely drop till 30. the riflespear hunter was a surprise. i tot was a player pvping me laugh.gif the Tonitrus hunter was easy though

just beat the game... im on ng+ now.... mobs hit hard.... like very hard... kena one hit from normal axe mob, half hp gone. need 3-4 swipes from my +10 ludwig holy blade to kill one dude. lvl 87 now... am i underleveled?

It's mostly 30fps like I said. They only need to fix the runt frames (stuttering), that's all. Not difficult.

Guys, any tips for the newcomer of this type of game? So far im enjoying the game but got my ass dieded so many times...

- Use hit and run tactics. Try not to use up your stamina every time you attack so you leave enough to roll away after attacking.

- Single out enemies as often as possible. Try to aggro as little enemies as you can and lure them away from the mob to dispatch them one at a time.

- Learn the attack patterns of enemies so you know how to make use of the i-frames (invincible frames) during the roll animations to stay offensive while being on the defense at the same time. Also, learn the timing when you can use your firearms to stagger and execute a critical attack.

- Don't be afraid of dying because every death is a learning experience. More importantly, NEVER GIVE UP.

Try deleting the installed game data and update then re-install and update. Or start another character and see if the same problem persists. You can easily reach the boss again in a very short amount of time. If it's your character/game data that is corrupted, doing those should fix the problem. I've had a corrupted save file in Dark Souls 2 that prevented me from ever putting down a white summoning sign until a patch fixed it.

Worst case scenario, your disc has problems so you might want to see if you can get it exchanged.

try to adjust the brightness of your screen..maybe too dark..after roared, its become dark environment right, if im not mistaken? saw it on you tube.

Be patient. Don't try to spam your attack, attack 1 or 2 blows and retreat for your stamina.

Single out one enemy at a time.

Fight dirty. Throwing bombs and knife are not some cowardly actions, they are valid strategy.

Learn to use visceral attack

Trying reinstalling now..hopefully it can work. If can't I will borrow my fren copy and to try.

er.....can't really see what happen. after screen goes black are u still able to listen to sounds or anything that is going on?

like what the guys have suggested, try deleting the game and reinstalling. u can backup your save file if i'm not mistaken.

oh ya. try co-op as well. see if they can help u kill it before the screen goes black.

After screen goes black I still able listen the sound. The background actually still running. And of coz my char is dead.

Tried to del n reinstal but still the same. Tonight going to swap to TV see will be the same or not.

Thanks. Took me 20+ deaths to figure out 'fire' is his weakness. Visceral attack work as well.
