Wet clutch DSG no problem. Dry clutch DSG used to be troublesome but after changing from synthetic gearbox oil to mineral oil already no problem. It's just that people will always think that DSG is a big problem when in reality, it's a solved issue.
*
really? but I do research the changing of the gearbox oil to mineral oil only solve the problem for 6months after that the problem came back.

The stock brake pad for our car is Bosch when I thought it's Mintye.
Hated the Bosch pad because it produces much dust.

You can send to anyone who has the right tools to change the brake pads. It's a very easy job, so it shouldn't cost much.

You can go for Bendix General or Metal King (saw review some said it "makan" rotor but got improvement version which do not "makan" anymore, not so sure. You gotta find out yourself)
Rough calculation:
RM120 for Bendix Metal King front
RM100 for Bendix Metal King rear
Labor should be around rm30 to rm50 depending on the workshop.

Free labor charge only, have to pay for parts. Unless PoorTon took away the free first 3 service as well.

Hey guys. Am having a SV version myself. Now just hit 10k mileage.

Problem is now most of the time when I brake, I hear loud sharp screeching noise.

Started when 5k service, went to COSE, they 'service' the brakes. Next day sound came back.
Went following week to complain again, then they 'service' again. Next day sound came back again. Fed up.
Now at 10k mileage service I go back, they say its a normal sound on hot days. Nothing can be done. This is load of BS. Why other cars brake does not have sound, only persona. And the SA can tell me its a normal sound during hot days.

Anyone know how else to solve this problem? Or anyone also having similar probs with me?

Screeching noise during braking is usually brake pad worn out. Looking at your mileage, so fast the brake pad worn out? hmm.gif
However, do check if the brake pad is worn out.
Other possibilities have to wait for other sifus.

Fairly new car, i dont think the brake pads wear out in 5k mileage? Thats got to be pretty serious. I mostly day to day driving to office and home, no hard braking. I went to another SC also told me its a norm for persona. I just cant accept that its a norm when other cars can drive normally. I remember my previous Iswara drove for more than 80k mileage still no sounds.

Even changing to other pads, it might still come back after a while. Mine does. Now getting louder. The pads at rough looks still have at least 50% left...

Used to ignore the screech sound (H-Line sound insulation lessen it in the cabin) but now getting more frequent and louder. Will have to re-check it when I change tyres somewhere next month.

disc rotor surface warped/uneven also can cause the high screeching noise

Warped and uneven will cause sound ke? I kena mine, no sound at all. Only braking to stop, the steering vibrates.
Btw, my brakes got no screeching sound since new *touch wood*
