For all Time Fibre users having this Turtle Internet Midnight experience, let me share my encounter here.

I took the initiative to contact Mr.Yeap CH(aka Low Yat forum regular yeapch01) a TIME reseller from YQC Technology Solution .

Indeed he was very helpful like answering my Whatsapp(even call me personally) and forwarding my case to TIME customer support for investigation. Well, to be frank my Turtle Internet only solved for a day. But the next day, the Turtle Internet haunt me again. Highlighted to Mr.Yeap again but this time, he said was my router issue then I changed router but still the same. Yeap even offered me a loan router,  I declined because I don't think it will solve the problem

I am not blaming Mr.Yeap as he is just a reseller and does not own TIME network, in fact he is helpful.

There is so many TIME users having this Turtle Internet Midnight problem which started from 8pm to midnight. But when in the morning(for me is 7am) this problem disappeared and back to normal.

Using my logical thinking and common sense, cannot be the network or router self recover by itself. Night in night out the network goes back to Turtle Internet. Day time it is good, just not logical.

My 2 cents opinion is stop wasting your  time to provide the speedtest or trace route to this time resellers, you are just wastng your time. This is a known problem that for the time being,  TIME is now famous for Turtle Internet Midnight.

TIME dotcom is not forthcoming is admitting their network issue(buying time and no immediate solutions) and stop calling their Call Service too. They are just playing cat and mouse game.

If you think TIME is not suitable for you, just move  on. No point complaining... TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.

Dear Bro,

Thanks again for feedback on this forum, we totally understand the frustration that rises due to the issue that you are facing.

The reason we want to collect your Ping/Traceroute results is to filter out the possibilities of other causes such as very common congestion factor at TIME partner's/subsidiary node.

It's a SOP that we have to go through to file solid complain case, save you some time as you will be asked to go through the same procedure when you contacting the Call Centre.

There is no way for not solving the issues by merely avoiding it...

We totally agree with you, common sense tells us it cannot be router problem as it only happen during night time but back to normal at daytime.

Very much earlier we already highlighted such issue.
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry77234248

We beg for feedback with solid complain cases (with ID), so when comes to technical meeting, I could table out the cases with proof.

Thanks for the patience and together we pledge things will be resolved.

Got a new router (Synology RT1900ac) which i believe is a pretty decent router. And again I do not believe is the router replacing my time capsule.

I'm using TIME (signed up via ASTRO IPTV) and so far very satisfy with it. So far streaming and torrent download has been no problem, luckily I never experience any turtle connection during night time.

And I'm thinking of switching my business internet from OHANA(tmnet) to TIME. BTW, OHANA just sucks.

Agent that covers USJ Selangor area, please PM me.

Thanks

Hi yeapch and jjj, I would like to ask what brands of fiber modem is compatible with Time?
Mine died and customer service say they dont cover it as warranty has expired and asked me to purchase a new one :S
*
Hi Bro,

The Fibre Modem (ONU, with a tiny fibre cable connected to it) that TIME supplies actually carries lifetime warranty.
If you wan to have this, we can arrange no problem with configuration included.

If you are referring to the Router, feel free to pm me your budget, we will propose a few models for you to choose.

Thanks.

After reading some of the users comments and even my network segment has changed to 61.x.x.x, I must say the connectivity is much better however there is still routing issues hence sites like uploading.com is still pretty bad at night. At least there is some improvement but not getting ahead of myself, let's see how it goes.

To be honest after changing my router I don't see any difference despite supposedly being a better one.
*
Hi Bro,

Sorry to ask may I ask you provide both of your Routings (with previous IP and the current IP) ?

Thanks.

I mean no disrespect but I am honestly getting tired of providing test results. I have noticed every person you asked for this granted I do understand this is SOP, however I am sure TIME must HAVE ENOUGH DATA collection by now. I would like to post this question to the people here, after you have sent this "results" any STABLE improvement or it just forgotten. This has happened to me countless times which is very frustrating. I am sure quite a fair bit of users here have had TIME since early days and are very comfortable till lately perhaps early this year (for me) when the network started showing signs of deteriorating slowly. I apologize for my ranting but this is going on too long.
*
No worries Bro, I take that as a strength to push for improvement smile.gif Totally understand the frustration you have gone through...put me in your shoes, I will feel the same...

Complain Case ID is important for us to follow up, during monthly meeting, this acts as solid cases to push for improvement for TIME side...

Feel free to forward the emails or replies you received from the complains made this far.

Thanks for the great patience & kind understanding.

hi there, is TIME available at Bukit Utama 1 Condo, Bandar Utama? How long does the installation take if i sign up?
*
Hi,

Yes, it's available. Your building is under NSI Extra Charge building list, anyway please refer to your PM, we will waive it.

Usually it takes 7-14 days to get it installed from the application submission day, with condition all infra & equipment at your building is in proper condition.

Thanks.

Hi.
Not sure if the post is suitable here. Need something to clarify about Time Broadband (ADSL not Fibre). Have anyone try it, Does it truely unlimited? How about the speed, it is stable? How many penalty need to pay if cancel the sevice?
*
HI,

Yes it's unlimited. It's non comparable to Fibre of course, but based on our experience, the stability very much depending on the existing copper infra.

Feel free to pm me your location.

Thanks.

I'm just gonna be straightforward here. Is there any plan from TIME to compensate customers with download rates that is nowhere near what we paid for? hmm.gif
*
QUOTE(pingses @ Nov 12 2015, 09:02 PM)
As Yeap01 said overseas traffic no guarantee as TIME relied on vendor.

Does this answer your question. I noticed weekdays the download speed is not that good after 12pm.
*
Hi Bro,

Compensation only happens when there is special occasion subject to management approval.. as FTTx is at best effort basis and without any SLA or SLG.

Anyway, this does not mean we leave the problem as it is. Many times we requested the speedtest, ping test, traceroutes results, direct cable connections, bypassing Routers, all these tests are performed to get rid of equipment or physical cable problems, so we could narrow down to the actual problems.
Knowing which international routing path is very critical, to pinpoint which node is at fault.
This does not mean blame could always be pushed to partners, there are also times where TIME should be fully responsible if the international routing is at GTC & GTL.

Again, what do you guys think if we put up a Complain File for those who are facing the problems to fill in the complain case ID & description of problems ? Rather have the complaints cases scattered.
We gather all the cases so that during the meetings, we could table this out.

Thanks.

I just realized Time upped some of their packages from 8Mbps and 15Mbps to 10Mbps and 20Mbps respectively. Does anyone know if they automatically upgraded existing customers? I was on 15Mbps, but I notice my account still says 15Mbps.
*
Hi Bro,

It's not automatically upgrade, you are required to fill in Service Migration Fom.

Thanks.
