QUOTE(bccheong77 @ Feb 15 2016, 11:07 AM) Ya. Let me go and test drive first. I also need to collect all information such as trade-in value, total price, ...etc. And may make the final decision end of the month. My existing car insurance renewal in Apr. So just wish to collect before Apr But of course, still have my own last approval from ...err... wife haha yea... go and test drive.... its somehow a powered up Nissan car in an European body... trade-in-value you cant see much as at now... since this car is still new in Malaysia... most of the drivers maximum drove for two years only... haha... bring her to the test drive... let her see the boot... hahaha... good for shopping purposes....

QUOTE(newbie Renault @ Feb 27 2016, 04:03 PM) I got my car in Dec 2015. 4 weeks later i realized my front bonnet and rear boot cover have got paint defects. I highlighted the concern to my SA. She immediately arranged me to send my car back to Renault Service Center in Glenmarie for inspection. Upon confirming that it's under warranty, they arranged my car to be fixed by doing some paint work. On 23rd Feb i send my car in....they provided me with a courtesy car meanwhile my car is left there for the paintwork. Today (27th Feb) i collected the car with excellent paintwork & great services. Kudos to the team for making sure everything runs smoothly. My SA was also involve in the follow up of the paintwork. 1st class service!! hahaha.... feels premium indeed with their service right..... which C-segment car give you the enjoyment of Merc and BMW did? Renault Fluence after sales services.....

QUOTE(Ricky300 @ Mar 11 2016, 11:48 AM) Wonder....only Fluence comes with 5 yrs free service + pick up service? What about the rest of the renault models? Any complain so far? Saw the car at 1Utama.....tempting other model i think doesnt have this package.... currently on Fluence only as they trying to push the sales of Fluence compare to other models. For now, no major complaint from fellow owners, maybe some tyre issues which can be solved, otherwise... most owners have no complaints at all....

QUOTE(kepongA @ Sep 22 2015, 02:26 AM) Yeah, same quotation. Will keep this in mind when I need to change as I think is bit ridiculous to pay so high. Don't think the benefit outweigh the cost are you using the 215/55/17 tyre now? or u use back the SC tyre?

QUOTE(nismLYN @ Apr 9 2016, 07:42 PM) I heard, now Fluence hv new campaign and offer... Free installment for 12 months... As well as the 5 years manufacturer warranty... What say you? I think is to clear their stocks... hahaha... but certainly with that kind of after sales package... if you dont mind about typical issue which is RV..... its a superb deal for C-segment with good reliability.... no need to stranded beside the road all the time.... like our fellow famous brand XX conti car... hahahah....

QUOTE(DavidAw @ Apr 20 2016, 11:03 PM) Anyone knows if the new package is for the facelift model or only for pre-facelift model? Having a hard time deciding between the Jetta (i prefer the way the Jetta looks but the clutch issue is scaring me) and Fluence I think its for facelifted models in year 2015.... for the prefacelift... you might get extra discount from them.... might be at the same price like Jetta.... and rest assured.... Fluence owners so far these two years.... never make any major complaint or have any major breakdown..... but if you really concern of the driving performance... Fluence cant give you the enjoyment of Jetta's turbo hahaha.... maybe you can give us a few criteria to comment on? what you actually wan from a car?

QUOTE(CallMeePink @ Apr 22 2016, 03:33 PM) just back from Renault kemajuan. Fluence dynamique rm12k rebate. Expression rm8k. Drives surprisingly well. did you asked do they still have the prefacelift stock? Its worth to consider as well if the discount is attractive.... other than outlook... most of the internal parts totally the same with facelifted expression and dynamique.

QUOTE(chizzu @ Apr 22 2016, 07:18 PM) I think this applies for the pre-facelift model. Check your warranty book for things covered The rest are 1 year but only the battery is 2 years Its a wear and tear item so cant give 5 years for that even one year its already considered a miracle in Malaysia car industry... none of the brand in the market even gave you this offer....

QUOTE(tsg_7 @ May 9 2016, 11:35 AM) hi to all fluenece owner, the current promotion is really attracting me but i was worry about the parts. i know the heart is from nissan and body from renault..how about the tear and wear parts like shock absorber, mounting, low and upper arm etc....anyone so far facing parts issue? nope.... driving close to one year already.... as for this car... the first batch owners also 2 years plus ago only... however... none of them complaint anything on the parts yet.... no breakdown.... no unrecoverable issue... so far i nvr heard of any owner using the free tow truck service from renault as well... haha.... FYI... the parts were mostly sourced from Korea.... not directly from France... because Korea also CKD this unit as well JV with Samsung....

QUOTE(trushalvora @ May 9 2016, 09:39 PM) thats something good to hear. Renault has come a long way to improve themselves in the malaysian market. Any updates on the clio? eyeing on one. clio not really common in malaysia... being the CBU pricing and the reputation of Renault... however... one of my neighbour have one... so far so good... enjoying the driving refinement and spirited drive.... didn't see his gearbox failure like a pug or VW or ford.... actually so far even on the megane i didn't heard any negative feedback on their reliability yet... but clio kinda design for spirited drive... the suspension would be on the stiffer side....

QUOTE(tsg_7 @ May 10 2016, 07:45 PM) means if something goes wrong we still need to wait for the parts to arrive..sigh..same goes to kimchi car.. yesterday went to one of a showroom in klang vallet and have a look...inside is quite plain and quite disappoint with the glove box which is rather small.what surprise me is the rear leg room.im roughly 6' tall and if im the driver, the person who sit behind me is quite struggle if driving long journey..then my mind suddenly pulling me off to even think to purchase this model... erm... you catch my point wrong... the stocks are all well stocked up..... i mentioned the korea parts is so that you understand... even if you need to wait... it wont be so long like other kimchi cars... bear in mind... distribution right come from different company bro.... dont compare Naza to Tan Chong.... Tan Chong already in Malaysia since independence day of Malaysia.... and at the same time.... so far until now.... none of the owners complained about the stocks delivery timing at all.... erm.... maybe you can try to compare it to other C-segment cars within this price range? same engine capacity and same features totally? as for the leg room... hard to comment.... because spec to spec comparison.... we can only compare to mazda 3... which their rear legroom is worse off.... this also partly due to the low headroom of Fluence which is a typical design dynamic in Renault cars.... after all... they are more of a sport cars manufacturer than typical japanese cars manufacturer....

QUOTE(tsg_7 @ May 11 2016, 04:50 PM) thanks bro for the points input. appreciate it. of coz other c segment car probably will not get the price and service offer by renault. probably i was having high hope in this model before even see the real car. but these days, i can say most of the car now design with spacious leg room for rear passenger. but so far did not applicable for conti car? have been tried ford and c-class. yeah but only during 1st 5 year or 100,000km which ever come 1st. erm.... to be fair.... C-segment cars in europe doesn't really use for passanger carriage much.... US i not really sure... if they intend to go for family car... A C-segment sedan or hatchback will not in their choice... they will go for SUV generally... the generally spacious rear leg room you meant... usually only the Asian car makers seems to focus on spaciousness.... we always use even a B-segment car as family car already in this region.... of course... due to their demand... their pricing wont be as attractive as you think.... generally... compare to mazda 3... i still feel Fluence rear seats is way better..... but driving and handling different story... haha.... as for the replacement car.... i think after 5 years or 100k km services... you still can bargain a replacement car by then if you need it... generally they quite lenient on this matter.... and of course the confidence Renault had in their car.... looking at Tan Chong... they even go to such extent to prove themselves... and the owners all not much headache as well... enjoying the ride til now.... they wont go the same way like a Pug or VW....

QUOTE(tsg_7 @ May 11 2016, 11:45 PM) yeah, europe country seems to opt for SUV to ferry passenger.for them car is cheap compare to here...currently for moderate income malaysian mostly can afford b segment car..i believe if car is cheap in malaysia, probably will opt for MPV or SUV thats y fluence attract me at the 1st place..i heard the salesman says mostly tc euro will extend this offer, though written on paper till 31st may.. did you try other C-segment cars? which rear seat the most impressive for u?

QUOTE(tsg_7 @ May 12 2016, 01:44 PM) c class can be counted as c segment?? i tried that before..not bad at all.quite roomy for rear passenger. of coz price wise is more than double. C- class is equivalent to the camry segment.... but yeah.... actually I think rear legroom the largest in C-segment should be the altis..... from what i test driven before....
