One of the positive aspect of my ip6+ on ios8.02 is its excellent battery life. So even with no improvement on this with 8.1 it is fine with me

Not necessary unless you had updated Mac to Yosemite some default Mac app eg pages, iPhoto, numbers etc you might be unable to sync its data only. I saw error message some iPhoto's cannot sync due to this. Updated my iMac to Yosemite yesterday n problem solved

upgraded thru ota... maybe mine is 16g sad.gif

That might be the cause of all your problems with ios 8.

Try downloading and then do a full upgrade. It's like reformatting your PC HD and start over new.

All you have yo do before you upgrade is to back up your phones via iTunes. Then after upgrading to iOS 8 then restore your phone with the backup and you will everything back.

8.1 is considered a major release so let's hope it fixes the bugs.

and it doesn't introduce new ones.

tim cook is sort of a failure in this. too many boo-hoos

Better for them to solve the bugs first rather than to continue introducing new features.

Now that lollipop is coming out soon, they're going to have their hands full. It could well begin with a good base in 8.1 and build on from there.

I will definitely. I always update all my phones to latest firmware once is available. I do not wait for any user feedback as my personal assessment is always the best. Most web reviewers doesn't has same sort of app and usage type that I had . So personal assessment is more appropriate. Other user assessment just read for info only

If I hadn't need to rely on my phone so much for work, then I would do so in a heartbeat!

So, here's to looking forward to your first review of it, Uncle Benny! notworthy.gif

I was on beta 1 when I was on 5s and it seems polished for the first beta. Now that I'm on 6 and running on 8.0.2, I hope the final release will be a huge improvement.
