Woah, that's bad. Sometimes my ip5 will off suddenly, even there's a 6% battery left. I don't know why.

How to downgrade?
*
download 8.1.1 ipsw then downgrade using itunes. u need to be fast since apple still sign for 8.1.1, and it is not possible to downgrade to 8.1 already

dont update your 5s. if you wanna try out ios 8, you can update to 8.1.1, 8.1 is good but apple no more sign for it.

sifu sifu wanna check with u guys larr. just upgrade my 5s and my wife 6+ to 8.1.3. battery life is very bad on 5s. on 6+ its not so noticeable coz so far still can last 2 days from full charge.

any u guys know how to downgrade my 5s to 8.1.2? i already download 8.1.2 firmware and try to restore it. then it come out error "could not be restored because the firmware is not compatible"

btw im using mac n my itunes is version 12.0. i tried to go DFU mode also same error come out.
*
u download the wrong ipsw for your 5s. there are either "Global" or "GSM" version. verify which version is your iPhone model then redownload

I bought my 5s from Maxis. My phone model is A1530. I check few website bout this and A1530 is GSM firmware. Already downloaded GSM firmware and when I try to restore, got that error. Or is GLOBAL is the correct firmware for iPhone bought in Malaysia?
*
your downloaded ipsw show iPhone6,2 or iPhone6,1 in its name? A1530 should be iPhone6,2.

if u download iPhone6,1 just choose another one with iPhone6,2

Actually I am quite confused, restore also got 2 types? normal restore and clean restore? What is the difference? Thanks  rclxub.gif
*
normal restore is u restore your phone with previous backup. clean restore is u download ipsw then restore your phone to clean state.

Sorry, I was coming from Android previously, so not quite understand iOS update stuff. What I do is I press restore at iTunes page, then prompt out a back up alert so I press ok to back up and proceed with restore. Is this correct method for clean restore?
*
clean restore is done by pressing "shift" plus click on "restore" button concurrently, then choose ipsw u download before. clean restore is like u reflash full rom using fastboot for android phone, u should be know what is fastboot flashing since u r from android.

download correct ipsw otherwise the clean restore process wont be proceed
