Anyone experiencing issues with 3rd-party keyboards on 8.3? I'm using SwiftKey and occasionally I need to restart Messages/WhatsApp because the keyboard won't slide open. There are also instances where the stock keyboard opens up instead of SwiftKey. rclxub.gif

I've not had the issue of my keyboard not opening, but also face the same issue where the stock keyboard opens instead of Swiftkey... Very annoying...

Not sure if it's an iOS issue or a SwiftKey one. sweat.gif

Is there a way to update from 8.1 to 8.2 without jailbreak?

if you want to update to iOS 8.2, then you have to do it while you still can before Apple stop signing the firmware. download the firmware (Google iOS 8.2 ipsw and confirm your phone model), open iTunes, plug your phone in, HOLD the SHIFT key and click on Restore. a window should pop out asking you to select the firmware and that's where you choose the previously downloaded iOS 8.2 firmware.

but this method is for downgrading though. it should work but i can't guarantee it, you can give it a try. worse case scenario, it'll just update to iOS 8.3 straight. then you can downgrade using the method i just explained.

on the Stock Keyboard, this is what i do - Delete Stock Keyboard, hence, it remain Swiftkey KB as for most default (some key-in pin still remain stock kb).
if not, the stock kb will always (mostly) open up 1st instead of swiftkey. (nub iOS).

if too lazy then no need to update lor haha. find somewhere with fast wifi or go somewhere with wifi during late hours when not many people using. if iPhone 6, iOS 8.2 animation's (entering/exiting apps, multitasking, etc) feels slightly snappier. that's about it, but it's quite noticeable. for other iPhone models i'm not sure. to iOS 8.3, got 2G/EDGE option but really buggy with the apps i use (Chrome, games, etc).

I think we can arrang what keyboard we want. Make the third party keyboard as default in settings.

After updating, my iPad mini 2's wifi was pretty unusable. Every few minutes, it seems to lose connection although the wifi signal indicator is still there. Got fed up & reset the network connections & it's all fine now. smile.gif

Mine also 6 Plus, but I feel battery usage is more or less the same as per 8.1.3

Check your phone's battery health. If you have Mac, you can download CoconutBattery. IBackupBot I believe if you're using Windows.
