It's safe to update, it's stable build, got fixes for previous build.

Most of the AP is not sealed as I was there few times to buy few phones for my frens and relatives. Only those Official Set are Sealed.

DirectD only allow you to choose for unsealed set... for those sealed (ORI), you have to pay first... then they will allow you to inspect... if not ngam... can ask them to get another one.. they afraid after unsealed, customer do not want to get the phone.... if you buy from official phone shop like samsung and others, they demand you the same as well... pay first, then inspect your unit... not ngam, they will unsealed another unit...

Well Link let me change although it is sealed... I bought Lenovo... found out 1 dead pixel... I say can exchange or not, he straight away say OK then he called the disty to check... the disty will take back the set...

from my experience. 3 times buying AP phone with Directd.
The sets are not sealed by default.
they let u check the physical condition but only let u on if u paid.
Ori sets are sealed, pay first if want to unseal.

last time I bought a lenovo for a friend there the salesgirl let me check 3 different models. by checking I mean open box and look at the appearance without actually switching them on. once I decided which model to take then she let me switch the phone on. but as for mi3, I actually bought from lazada and the unit came from directd, with taiwan rom.

Just make sure you check with them the set is not China set and comes with playstore. Once bought, make sure you check everything on site. I don't think they will lie the customer since they are pretty big shop and long running in the business.

Yup. You need to factory reset your phone after flash to MY rom.

1) Wipe in recovery
2) Flash in recovery
3) Wipe again?
4) Reboot

You can flash first then only wipe and reboot.
