i just realize black mi3 are easily scratch. i wonder if silver color also the same.
*
How easily scratched? By fingernails? My unit kinda scratch resistant, unless it's scrubbed on hard sharp surface.

Any Mi3 user encounter FORCE CLOSE on Asphalt 8?
*
Try medium setting, it's a common issue.

QUOTE(squall_12 @ May 31 2014, 09:28 PM)
any tips for taking great picture with xiaomi 3 camera?

Thanks
*
Try take with advance mode, if in open area with object in far range, use HDR, if close up shot, use macro focus.

QUOTE(baowen @ May 31 2014, 10:18 PM)
it is common issue on Asphalt 8, just change it to medium settings and this is not Xiaomi Mi3 issue biggrin.gif
Mi3S or Mi4 will not launch so soon...................... (my prediction Sept-October < please mark my word)  tongue.gif
why?
1. if just Snapdragon 801, really nothing to shout about.
2. it is just the same as Mi3 with only slight chances, which is a scam like what Sammy / apple doing biggrin.gif , and normally Xiaomi not practicing this, they do business with hearts ... Conscience
*
Don't think it's 801, there's already 805.

QUOTE(deadravel @ May 31 2014, 10:19 PM)
hope v7 will be better biggrin.gif

anyway. why my mi3 ram always stay at 700+ only after clean. sad.gif
*
Normal to me, sometimes mine uses more than 1.4gb ram, left 500-600mb left after clearing cache.

do u know what is eating the ram?
MIUI eat 1.4gb mer ? doh.gif
*
No idea, I got wechat, whatsapp, facebook, messenger, active after clearing cache. Having 600mb of ram free doesn't mean it'll slow your phone down or eat more battery.

QUOTE(baowen @ Jun 1 2014, 12:55 AM)

Oooo, didn't notice got 805, 808 or 810.. but i don't care now, i am happy with Mi3
if got new one, just buy lor, another RM889  rclxm9.gif
Don't worry, you will happy with Mi3 if you configure it properly !! and with no regret!!!!!
*
It won't be another RM889, usually the price is set at 1999RMB upon launching. Mi3 has dropped it's price last month due to the upcoming phone to be released soon.

Anyone did realize that mi3 screen abit yellowish?

Left - Mi3
Right - HTC One

[attachmentid=3995518]
*
Yes, the screen might be a bit yellowish compared to other phone. Like some other phone might be a bit bluish, it's caused by the screen itself. Don't worry so much. biggrin.gif

maybe u screen using warm color instead of cool or standard............ i still not open flip cover , does it have auto sleep function like ipon
*
Its not related to the settings. I'm talking about the screen default color, where the white output may be a bit yellowish. You only can notice it if you compare with other phone side by side.

Actually I use my phone mainly for facebook + email + whatsapp and calling.....at time some light gaming ( 2-3 hours a month )

what attract me is the battery size + CHEAP!.
Will wait until stock is back to order
*
AMOLED performs better in term of battery consumption, MI3 display does drain a lot of battery just to let you know.

Nope. Amoled performs only better when viewing dark screen. When u view on white, it drains battery life hell.
*
At least there's a way for you to reduce the battery consumption by using black background. LCD black or white still eats up same quantity of battery.

Black background only work for OLED
*
AMOLED is just with added a semiconductor film on OLED to make to activate the pixel faster. It still uses less battery compared to LCD.

happened again last night, about the 3rd time already:

the touchscreen response became sluggish, typing and icon dragging are like "out of focus"...

it'll be back to normal smoothness if i leave the phone awhile or reboot it. tried switching between balanced and power saving but didn't help

anyone else had similar issue?
*
May I know which rom are you on now? The problem persist when you run certain apps or it just happen by itself?

For me camera function not that important. As long can auto focus fast enough and take pictures, i am ok.

Camera is just an added function to make the phone a jack of all trades. Part phone, part camera, part computer, part calculator, part radio and part mp3 player.

As long stable and battery can last whole day is more important.
*
True, a phone is for everyday use. If you need a better camera, get DSLR, if you need a better mp3 player, get a standalone DAP, if you need a good calculator..get a real calculator. laugh.gif

Hi guys..im new to dis Mi 3 may anyone tell me how to update d firmware for Miui ? It seems i cant update it....comes back n say i need to download Rom full package? Whats dat?? Need help...hopefully anyone can assist...
*
You can download the full package rom from the Miui forum. Note that there are rom for different versions and countries. Click on Malaysia rom for stable build while WCDMA and at the 2nd row is the developer rom.

After download, copy the file to you phone storage and go to updater app. Select menu, reboot to recovery. Flash the rom file you downloaded and boot to the 2nd system. That's all.

QUOTE(suntzulee @ Jun 5 2014, 12:29 PM)
can someone just write a simple tutorial how to revert from dev to stable rom?

there are so many versions and some people screwed it up...appreciate if possible.
*
I would prefer to use Cwm recovery to flash the roms. You get more control on what to wipe and which system do you want to flash.

If using the default recovery, just backup, flash the stable rom and do full wipe will do.

Those who are using the default recovery, do note that it will flash on the alternative system, meaning that if you flash the rom from system 1 (current), then the rom flashed will be at system 2 and vice versa. So you should boot on system 2 after flashing.
