Hi guys, wat is the better buy for mini led around 2k? I see xiaomi g27i pro is good but some really frustrating stuff is have to manual switch local dimming on off for sdr and hdr content and unable to update firmware.

Other similarly priced is coolermaster gp27q which has been on market for awhile but not sure how is it still performing nowadays.

Or shud up budget abit get odyssey g6 oled i see selling 2999 currently cheapest

Anyone knows where can I find demo display for OLED monitor?
(Not to buy demo unit but to see it with my own eyes)

Wanted to see what's the difference between QD-OLED vs WOLED

Basically I want to see how bad is the raised black issue with QD-OLED vs how bad is text clarity for WOLED.

Currently I'm looking for 1440p monitor, 27" or 32" are also fine

PS:
I'm looking to let go one of my monitors before i commit myself to the new OLED

AORUS AD27QD (single stuck pixel bottom middle)
or
Acer Predator XB271HU (Power board replaced)

hello i want to ask u guys

acer KG270X1

Screen Size: 27 inches

Panel Type: IPS

Resolution: 1920 x 1080 (FHD)

Refresh Rate: 200Hz

Response Time: 1ms (GtG)

Brightness: 250 nits (HDR 10)

Inputs: HDMI, DisplayPort, Audio

VESA Wall Mount: Yes

FreeSync Support: Yes

How come i cant find this model on Acer website,. Looking for a RM500 budget gaming monitor.

not i check the rest of the KG series its all TN panel but this one is an IPS with a 200hz refresh,

it seems TMT and some seller has this but not much review or info in other review sites.

Not sure if this is a good monitor.

another thing it dont state G sync or adaptive sync, so does this mean if i have a 1050ti i wont get full benefit?

It's a new 2025 model, not much info out there
I got it smaller 24 inch version as a warranty replacement

https://www.acervietnam.com.vn/gaming/nitro-kg270-x1

There is some info on Acer Vietnam site, you can use Google Translate with it

Personally, I would prefer 1440p at 27 inch but yeah, budget

i think i will go for this

Acer SA272UE 27" Monitor
27" WQHD IPS (2560x1440) Display
100hz Refresh Rate
1ms Respond Time
HDMI & Display Port
AMD FreeSync

not too keen on the fast refresh i mostly play emulator games.

and just a casual, probably sometime racing games.

I believe a higher resolution will benefit me more.'

Lately I am surveying as well. It look like Asus ROG XG27ACS is the best at 27" IPS 1440p for now. Back then it used to be LG 27"

AOC Q27G3XMN this would be the best option (for this price point), but is not available in Malaysia. Tried searching in AOC Malaysia's website, only this turn up Q27G4ZMN, but this too I cant find anyone selling. I think mini led is the way to go.

OLEDs are too expensive.

finally got ahold of my first proper 4K monitor, which is also a 32" 4K QD-OLED.

Gigabyte Aorus FO32U2P

for those who are planning to grab a QD-OLED monitor, I do have some points to share before your purchase

1. HDR is simply AMAZING. ur getting a proper HDR on a QD-OLED screen. safe to say everyone knows about it already, but when you look at it in person it is pure wonder
user posted image user posted image

2. Windows 11 Auto HDR works just right and fine. ur recommended to turn it on and then use Windows HDR Calibration app to calibrate for Auto HDR contents so that it looks right under SDR to HDR conversion. HOWEVER, note that I'm on 23H2 because I refuse to upgrade to 24H2 until some time after (because last I heard 24H2 had or still has HDR issue). I've also heard that RTX HDR is better than that, so perhaps sooner or later I'll try that out instead.
user posted image

3. QD-OLED raised black level is REAL. my current room has a LED downlight mounted on a 10ft tall ceiling, directly above the monitor, AND another downlight ~8ft away in front of the monitor, AND a window beside the PC setup (drape does not fully block the lights from the outside) and the raised black is subtly visible when trying to look for it. interestingly, contrary to popular beliefs, the raised black level is not a purplish tint but instead a rather deep dark grey tint. so if u have a downlight directly on top of your PC setup, or right in front of it, or have the monitor facing a window with a drape that doesn't fully block off sunlight, ur guaranteed to have raised black level. I will soon move to a different room where I can control the room's lighting setup.

EDIT: possibly wrong about this. I think it's better to choose HDR mode with peak 1000 nits of brightness. for SDR content can easily set the brightness in the HDR settings in windows, while for HDR better leave it uncapped simply because it seems that capping the upper level of brightness leads to highlight compression of anything beyond the cap, which ends up overexposing the highlights (tested this with movies with peak brightness of >1000 nits). in FO32U2P's case, it's HDR Peak 1000 mode.

5. these QD-OLED monitors actually have pixels over-provisioning for pixel shift (for OLED care), where u will notice gaps at the edges between the screen and the frame which is completely normal.

these are the things that I can think of to aid any future QD-OLED monitor buyers. AMA if anyone is on the fence of grabbing one. lol.

gave up on local mini led market since early last year
the only models they released in malaysia late 2023 was the titan army 32" and the redmagic 27", all 1152 zones. were selling upwards of 4k as well. there was also an asus model which sold for a stupid price
then there were promises by other brands such as asrock and hp releasing models for 32" 4K with 1152 zones. turned out they are vaporware

mini led on monitor really no hope dy

it is a subsidiary of innocn, and exactly a rebrand of innocn 32m2v
good local dimming implementation, but since it's miniled on IPS it cannot eliminate blooming

build quality and QC mcm different story. hear it gets returned frequently on amazon.

When I was checking it out last month, it was ~4000. When I saw it in person, I wasn't that impressed. Maybe it was the lighting setup at the store, what they had playing on the monitor or maybe because it just wasn't my home setup. But the screen is matte, so it was supposed to be suited for brightly-lit places. Should've had another good 27-inch like the R27qe on the side playing the same thing to showcase the OLED.

As for value, Dell's AW2725DF QD-OLED is still going for 2600. Same QD-OLED panel as the g6, but the screen is the glossy type -- Better contrast than matte, but the screen is very reflective. Better suited to places with dim lighting or with light sources not shining directly at the screen (My light source is off to the side and parallel to my screen).

Comparison:
user posted image

At the end of the day, they're the same QD-OLED panel, so grab whichever's cheaper biggrin.gif (Take into account Dell's good customer support, though. They'll deliver your monitor and replacements if you ever RMA.)

Looking at all round monitor. But i saw alot oled also cheap now, 2.3k can get gigabyte and msi one.

If not also can consider redmagic 4k one now price 2.3k also.

Seems like monitor price is coming down. Which is good
