Anyone tried oddyssey g6, seems like best value for oled monitor, less than 3k, 1440p with hdmi 2.1, good for console and pc

When I was checking it out last month, it was ~4000. When I saw it in person, I wasn't that impressed. Maybe it was the lighting setup at the store, what they had playing on the monitor or maybe because it just wasn't my home setup. But the screen is matte, so it was supposed to be suited for brightly-lit places. Should've had another good 27-inch like the R27qe on the side playing the same thing to showcase the OLED.

As for value, Dell's AW2725DF QD-OLED is still going for 2600. Same QD-OLED panel as the g6, but the screen is the glossy type -- Better contrast than matte, but the screen is very reflective. Better suited to places with dim lighting or with light sources not shining directly at the screen (My light source is off to the side and parallel to my screen).

At the end of the day, they're the same QD-OLED panel, so grab whichever's cheaper biggrin.gif (Take into account Dell's good customer support, though. They'll deliver your monitor and replacements if you ever RMA.)

Where to find Dell AW2725DF for RM2600?

Only found MSI MAG 273QP and GIGABYTE MO27Q2 for around RM2500 price range. Is the Gigabyte a good buy?

There was a RM500 discount for two days in early Feb and RM1000 discount from Feb 21 to around Apr 8 so maybe it'll go on sale again if you wait.

Those two are current-gen QD-OLEDs so they're probably fine, but no one's done any real testing on them yet, so there's no third-party data to go by.

If you can find the Philips Evnia 27M2N8500 or the MSI MPG 271QRX for around RM2500, those are good buys too. Equivalent to the AW2725DF.

Just received my new 27" Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF monitor, and I’m already impressed! The build quality feels solid, and the brightness is noticeably higher than my existing Odyssey Neo G7. The only adjustment? Getting used to the smaller 27" screen after coming from a 43" display.

I tested a few 3D movie clips from YouTube, and the effect is incredibly immersive—especially with high-quality 4K sources. The depth and realism are cinema-level, rivaling an IMAX experience.

Most of my current games don’t support 3D, but I picked up Khazan: The Last Berzerker (co-developed by Samsung to showcase this monitor’s 3D capabilities). Excited to test it tonight and see how it performs!

Will update with more thoughts after further testing. So far, very promising!

Nice, what about the 3D AI video conversion? Does that work for normal games too?

Tested Khazan, Dragonball Z Kakarot Ultimate, F.I.S.T Forged in Shadow Torch, Disney Epic Mickey Mouse Rebrushed, SpongeBob Square Pants The Cosmic Shake, Lies of P and Stray. The 3D is really convincing. The background, stage depth is very clear, detail and smooth. Once you experienced them, you won't be able to go back to normal 2D format.
Very very worth it.
FIST Forged in the Shadow Torch. Running at 170++
Sounds like the next big thing for monitors if they can get the AI-generated 3D thing working for games and videos without the built-in 3D hmm.gif
Still, even with just the games, it sounds tempting. Wonder if they'll have an OLED version too.
