This is good for productivty not gaming as it is only 75hz.

If you not using it for gaming and need USB-C, then Ok.

Acer Nitro XV272U KVbmiiprzx, can't seem to buy online for this version. Any idea where could i get it online since tmr is 12/12.

I can only find this https://shopee.com.my/Acer-Nitro-XV272UV-XV...75-c5594a0e39ef. Is it this version?

Basically all manufacturer only allow exchange if they is 5 dead pixel.

I never buy Gigabyte before, no idea.

From year 2020 until now 2022. I had purchase total of 6 monitors and all in perfect condition, no dead pixel issue.
I believe dead pixel is very rare case.

  • LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 34GN850 (at office)
  • LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 27GL850 (sold)
  • LG 24MK600 (at office)
  • Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ (sold)
  • Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo (secondary monitor)
  • Samsung Odyssey G8 Neo (main monitor)
If you worried of dead pixel where you seen many people complain on Gigabyte. I think for safety reason, maybe you should look for LG then.
*
Maybe its my shitty luck then. My previous 2 monitors both had dead pixels. Can't remember the first one but I bought it directly from Digital Mall and it had about 3-4 dead pixels IIRC, managed to convince the shop to change because I bought my whole PC from them. Then the replacement had dead pixels too. Just took a refund and bought from a different shop. My current monitor is an AOC 24G2 and came with 1 dead pixel too. Great monitor and I didn't want to go through the hassle since I bought it online so decided to use it.

But yea, will probably avoid Gigabyte and go for the LG then. Both seem to be pretty evenly rated. Thanks!

I just get the AOC 24G2SP and yes it is very awesome monitor out of the box. I buy this because old laptop is HDMI 1.2, where cannot output properly higher than 1080p. At least now I can output as 120hz in 1080p. biggrin.gif

If you buy from physical shop, I suggest you request to fully check before take, this is what I always do before I bring the monitor home.

There are so many variations of the 24G2! hahah. The one I'm using is 1080p 144hz. Like you said its absolutely fantastic out of the box, I have zero complaints about it (well except for the 1 dead pixel lol). Enjoy it bro!

This two is around RM 800 if also over budget. Very sorry nothing to recommended.

Any monitor below this range is bad and not to recommended.

When testing no issue, then it is the product quality issue not last longer. This cannot said any.

I pray Samsung is last longer as that both Samsung is not cheap.

Really feels like QC has gone downhill. Doesn't help that our return policy in Malaysia is almost non-existent if compared to the US. Gonna try my luck with the LG 27GP850 on Shopee tonight and just pray there are no dead pixels.

I remember the monitor I had before this 24G2 also had a loose connector problem wherein I had to make sure not to move the monitor at all, or it would lose connection. Didn't seem like it was a problem with the cable but I didn't really check.

I do face issue and no luck on ViewSonic. Both I buy also problematic. One within a week or 2 ants go in, another just broken itself and lucky I still left one month for repair FOC. ViewSonic Customer Service and after sales do ok but the quality never my luck so far.

Finally I had both display. Here is my Short Review of both G9 Neo and G8 Neo.
Today I just know 32" 4K in 125% scaling is kind of exact size in 27" (34", 49") 1440p in 100% scaling.
Very shocking to know both resolution (5120x1440 and 3840x2160) have kind of same benchmark result. (I do had check the resolution is correct or not).

I decide set my Windows HDR Off by default and only On when necessary using Win+Alt+B shortcut key.
Reason for doing this as I find even though HDR On did not washed out but HDR Off give much better color output for Windows and by using this method, I can left Local Dimming Auto and no need to change it as with HDR Off, then the Local Dimming will auto On when HDR content detect.
Samsung Galaxy G9 Neo
  • Windows - Use HDR: Off
  • Windows - SDR Content Brightness 13 (to prevent desktop over bright when switch to HDR On)
  • OSD - Black Equalizer: 11
  • OSD - Picture Mode: Custom
  • OSD - Brightness: 39 (100 in HDR mode)
  • OSD - Contrast: 47 (100 in HDR mode)
  • OSD - Color: Red 46, Green 46, Blue 54
  • Local Dimming - Auto
Samsung Galaxy G8 Neo
  • Windows - Use HDR: Off
  • Windows - SDR Content Brightness 9 (to prevent desktop over bright when switch to HDR On)
  • OSD - Black Equalizer: 8 (SDR), 9 (HDR)
  • OSD - Picture Mode: Custom
  • OSD - Brightness: 45 (100 in HDR mode)
  • OSD - Contrast: 55 (100 in HDR mode)
  • OSD - Color: Red 44, Green 48, Blue 53, Gamma Mode 1
  • OSD - Contrast Enhancer: On
  • Local Dimming - Auto
