Look out for Lenovo G27q-20 this 12.12 on Lazada/Shopee (collect Lazada bonus)

27 inch, IPS, 1440p, 165Hz. I bought for 1k on last year's 12.12 sale, been using for a year and it's excellent for its price.

ASUS VG259QR? 24.5 inch, IPS, 1080p (FHD), 165Hz

No experience with this one, but I saw this when researching 24/25 inch monitors, seems quite good. It's 800+, but I think worth getting if you can get it at ~700 during 12.12 sales.

This two is around RM 800 if also over budget. Very sorry nothing to recommended.

Any monitor below this range is bad and not to recommended.

Hey guys, torn between these 2 models VX2718-P-MHD and VX2776-SH.

I know one of the version is gaming, and both of the panel type is different.

Mainly use it for daily browsing, work (data those), light gaming (rainbow 6), netflix..

Wanna look for type c monitor, but most of them are over 1k plus since I'm looking for 27inch. Just wanna use it as a external monitor, due to im looking a lot of data, eyes strain lol.

Both is 27" and 1080p which is not recommended for 27" size as everything look too big, narrow working space and not clear text due to very low 82 PPI.
For best clarity, PPI should be 100 and above.

Suggest look for 1440p for 27". 1080p should stop at 24".

For 27" 1440p, you need to increase your budget, impossible it is same cost as 1080p.

Below is some best 27" 1440p monitor

My table is 60 cm wide and 120 cm long, so I'm not sure which fits me better, 24 or 27 inches.

Either should be able to fit and 27" 1440p is the best size which not too small or too big.

I don't think the MC27Q X is available in Malaysia, can't seem to find it online anywhere.

I've done a ton of research on 27" 1440p and have narrowed it down to M27Q-P and LG27GP850. Really can't decide between the 2. However, what I'm worried about is dead pixels. I've asked 4 Shopee resellers (including LG themselves), and they all only entertain exchanges or warranties if there are a minimum of 5 dead pixels. I find this unacceptable, anything more than 1 is too much especially if its placed somewhat in the middle of the screen.

Just wondering how to avoid this problem. Seem to see a lot of dead pixel complaints on the Gigabyte model especially...

Basically all manufacturer only allow exchange if they is 5 dead pixel.

I never buy Gigabyte before, no idea.

From year 2020 until now 2022. I had purchase total of 6 monitors and all in perfect condition, no dead pixel issue.
I believe dead pixel is very rare case.
  • LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 34GN850 (at office)
  • LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 27GL850 (sold)
  • LG 24MK600 (at office)
  • Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ (sold)
  • Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo (secondary monitor)
  • Samsung Odyssey G8 Neo (main monitor)
If you worried of dead pixel where you seen many people complain on Gigabyte. I think for safety reason, maybe you should look for LG then.

S2722DC, is this good enough? The brands that you mentioned in the previous reply kind of out of my budget.

This dell version suits what I’m looking for , but I’m open to other options as well

This is good for productivty not gaming as it is only 75hz.

If you not using it for gaming and need USB-C, then Ok.
