I just ordered on Shopee a Philips 241E1D monitor based on design and specs. I found it better on paper vs other brands. I wonder is there something wrong with getting a Philips monitor that's why it's not as popular? Even on Youtube I barely find any reviews.

As far as i see... blacks are kinda nice and solid if at brighter room. If in dark room and play games... the black screen kinda a bit lighter i think.. looks visible.. not really bother me tho

just saying guys, you can buy this monitor at 1700. it uses the same Nano IPS panel as LG 27GL850, and comes with 165Hz. expect identical performance

the primary differences would be the color filter each one of them uses and the overdrive implementation...LG 27GL850 overdrive implementation is ace for 1440p 144Hz, achieving TN like performance on the optimal overdrive settings..

means LG has more colors (10 bit is 1.07 billion colors vs 8-bit 16.7 million), this is why LG can achive higher color volume and coverage, they have better color filters

Been surveying the AOC CU34G2X and the Acer Nitro XV340CKP. Which would be better monitor mainly for work, movies and occasional cs:go?

Looks like moisture has entered the gaps between the polarizer and the display panel itself sweat.gif

This is quite common on older monitors, especially if they are used in a humid condition (I have a Samsung 18.5 inch monitor that does that, although to be fair it has lasted me for about a decade before I eventually moved on to a 144Hz monitor) icon_idea.gif

You need to replace the polarizer, but it's not something easy to do (you can scratch the panel by accident) icon_idea.gif
