Hot or warm?
if warm, that's normal la. Charging currents through resistance produces heat  laugh.gif

Need to have cool gel pad while charging 2A  brows.gif

bloody hot. I have quite a few gadgets and i do know the difference between normal warm and extreme hot. I can't hold the phone glass surface to my face for more than 10 secs, just to illustrate. rclxub.gif It is hot at the upper part of the screen, can smell the adhensive of the flipcase heating up. shakehead.gif

Anyway, charging with USB now. Anyone know the apps that measure battery and phone temperature? I think measure objectively will be more reliable.

Mine (MI3 + Case + Screen Protector + 2 Power Bank)

Place order

Shipment with UPS

the other person that I know who place their order for MI3 bundle at around 1 pm already received their order via FEDEX on Saturday (Melaka)

I guess the more things u order the slower u get, and the first 100 order who received the card with signature are not really first 100 order placed and paid but first 100 to be shipped. haha

either way it is just extra 2-4 days. Don't really mind that.

u going to spoil ur phone soon
dun take rise, charge slowly with original charger

not correct la, using higher amp charge, battery will charge more faster...

disadvantage is phone become fast heat, battery lifespan maybe more shorter...

not only tablet, the same 2.0 charger is for my Note 3 actually but i also use it to charge Ipad Air, Note 3, Note 2, Note 10.1 2014, all no problem.  Just puzzle why they still restrict to 1.0A charging when the battery capacity is getting bigger.  I think Mi Power Bank is using 2.0A output too as it can charge Ipad.  But yesterday i tried charging mi3 with the power bank no such heating issue, maybe it intelligently detect it is mi3 and charge at 1.0A?  hmm.gif  Must warn my sister about the charger then when i pass the mi3 to her later.  wink.gif

Note 3 USB 3.0 la..
Higher voltage than USB 2.0

Higher voltage x same current flow = faster power full

hmm.. my shipment was initially thru Fedex. Then suddenly stuck (delivery exception status) on saturday after release from sepang customs.

Then today i check on Mi.com website, my delivery agent now changed to UPS?? and when i check with UPS, they say no such tracking info?

Dafuk is this? who the hell is delivering my phone? contacted xiaomi cs and they also cant confirm. they just can confirm already arrive in malaysia only.

i is sadding and angry.

Anyone of you guys having the same prob??
*
U confused lah !

If tracking number is 12 digits is Fedex, if Alphanumeric like 1ZAY****** is UPS

Xiaomi website can only direct link to UPS, Fedex need to go to Fedex tracking to check, I think the website designer didn't expect Xiaomi to use 2 different courier services.

U don't lulus 2 satu batang mah ! UPS cannot track u go Fedex check loh..

U must constantly read our forum members "Golden Advice" here mah.. many questions already answered previously.

I'm using Battery Montor Widget, but it doesn't really show actual current flow.
Not sure of any apps that can do this actually.

battery life not so great.

overnight drop 15-20%.

That's pretty normal for me... My galaxy s3 drains ~1%/hour (without 3G) and ~3%/hour (with 3G).
Similar to some of my other Android devices.

Tested Mi3 and the battery drops 5% in 6 hours when I slept last night.

I am using Battery Widget Reborn app and set my s3 to switch off all mobile, data, wifi services during
certain hours (e.g. at night when I am sleeping) to save some juice.

it depends on the charger rating, nothing to do with USB 2.0 or 3.0. doh.gif I can use the Note 3 USB cable with a 1.0A charger and vice-versa. Some phone will restrict the current even if your charger has higher rating. I think Note 2's charger is USB 2.0 but the charger is also 2.0A.

Charging with USB now - still quite hot but hot as extreme as using 2.0A charger just now. So I think mi3 should only be charged with 1.0A charger, which will take a longer time to fully charged.

SnoopyDevil, thanks for the info.
