I found one issue in that the Caller name was not matching with the Contacts saved without country code prefix, e.g. if I save the Contact as +6012345678, the phone will will not recognize 012345678 as the same caller and vice versa.

Any workaround?

Bought this phone for my wife and after I played with it for awhile now I kena poison already.

First time trying MIUI and I love the look and feel of MIUI! There's plenty of options and customizations to play around... much better than Samsung's Touchwiz IMHO.

One issue I found is if you merge 2 contacts in Gmail, your phone will now show 3 separate contacts (the 2 unmerged contacts plus the new merged one).
This is due Mi Cloud not recognizing they are actually the same Contacts.

Workaround is disable Contact Sync for Mi Cloud and delete the contact data from
the phone. The phone will then sync all contacts from Gmail from scratch.

That's pretty normal for me... My galaxy s3 drains ~1%/hour (without 3G) and ~3%/hour (with 3G).
Similar to some of my other Android devices.

Tested Mi3 and the battery drops 5% in 6 hours when I slept last night.

I am using Battery Widget Reborn app and set my s3 to switch off all mobile, data, wifi services during
certain hours (e.g. at night when I am sleeping) to save some juice.

Strange, last night I merged some contacts and put in the international prefixes into my Google account using a PC...

Switched off sync with Mi Cloud.

Cleared the Contacts data on mi3 to freshly re-sync the contacts with Google.

Everything was fine last night but this morning contact numbers are jumbled out e.g. Friend A's number is listed in Friend B's contact details.

MIUI is good, but still buggy. Hope I can get this issue sorted out so it does not recur!

As one bro here pointed out, need to input all contacts with country code. FYI MIUI uses the last 11 digits for contact identification.

I'm not familiar with iOS, but you can try export contacts as vCard (.vcf file) to your PC.

Then log in to Mi Cloud (https://i.xiaomi.com) with your xiaomi account username and password.

Click Contacts> Options (box with 3 horizontal lines)> import contacts (You can select the vCard you want to import).

Finally Sync phone with Mi Cloud.

Anyone tried Mi Cloud? Quite interesting... can find location of your phone and wipe your phone data (I think) remotely from your PC.

Easy to use and navigate as well.
