TS please check my posts, got mention battery mode, performance, balance n power saving. For the record, my mi3 yesterday till now left 80% + but just minor web n phone calling n few minute of mv watching.

To optimize your battery, at setting, battery there, power saving, then security, power. Try set this two u can see big diff, less heat more battery power.
*
+1

the juice on this is actually quite good. deep sleep overnight 7hrs dropped only 1% on battery saving mode

one thing i'm puzzled with, even i ran security scan and cleared to 98pts (i turn off virus scan), the RAM usage always took alot by default. at most is 700MB/2GB. what is taking so much RAM?

i uninstalled miTalk as it was taking a big chunk, not much improvement

reboot and put back balance power setting, cleared memory usage, back to 34389 flex.gif

a reboot also brings back memory usage to less than 1GB now nod.gif

Is there any way to merge contacts (fb whatspaa etc) quickly instead of manually one by one?
*
this might create some duplicates, but i always upload my profile settings, contacts and calendar to google account

works like a charm

Does it increase your phone benchmark/performance from 13.0 > 14.0?

can i charge the phone with other plug and USB cable?

i'm amazed on the speed, smoothness and responsiveness of this phone. this was definitely a good buy since my SGS2

LOL..

U also from SGS2? Same la..

icon_rolleyes.gif
Does MIUI have their own PC File Software to sync music/video files?
hmm.gif
*
SGS2 was the revolutionary model at that time rclxms.gif icon_idea.gif

There's an E drive that popped up in my Win7 when i plugged to pc, haven't try installing the software in it but that should be the one

So there's no problem to charge the phone with any other plug or micro USB cable?

How is this phone performance? Any review from you all? Deciding to get it on 2nd batch.
*
there has been plenty of review on net. but the bottom line is:

very powerful and user friendly phone at affordable price

My SGS2 was like RM2k when first launched.
Compared to this Mi3, 50% discount siot

Mine also connected to PC, it's like a pendrive already now  rclxms.gif
Why la UPS so slow.
So cheapskate, FedEx also asked their staffs to OT so can deliver within 3 days of receiving the package at depot
doh.gif
*
exactly. at that time i bought from SenQ for the sake of extended warranty... now my SGS2 still got 2 more years of warranty left haha

bloody hot.  I have quite a few gadgets and i do know the difference between normal warm and extreme hot.  I can't hold the phone glass surface to my face for more than 10 secs, just to illustrate.  rclxub.gif  It is hot at the upper part of the screen, can smell the adhensive of the flipcase heating up.  shakehead.gif

Anyway, charging with USB now.  Anyone know the apps that measure battery and phone temperature?  I think measure objectively will be more reliable.
*
you can try widgetsoid. it is one of my fav notification/toggle apps i used on SGS2. should work for this phone too

had a strange phenomenon last night, not sure if it is normal:

shutdown PC and plug in phone to charge overnight, somehow it sort of 'reverse charge' and drained 15% pulak sweat.gif

never happened to my SGS2 before

this is probably a general enquiry but since my MI3 is new & precious, i wanted to ask the sifus here.

am bringing my MI3 to USA next week. What do I do about the power voltage difference?? Do I need a transformer?
*
Malaysia plugs are 240V/50hz while US is 120V/60hz. You don't need any transformer but you'll need an international plug pin

i try to explain very detail now.. i realize when i press the pin into the sim tray hole, the sim tray got pop up, but just a very very very little bit, when taking out the pin is it feel like tight right ? ( the pop up is too less, i cannot use finger nails to pull it out at all, from the photo i posted just now u will see it raised a bit bit)
[attachmentid=3987341]
then after i continue pressing it , no much more tight feel when taking out the pin from the hole, so i press the sim tray into original position, very small distance only, then i press the sim tray hole with the given pin again, got tight but the sim tray doesnt seems to pop out, it pop even lesser than the 1st time, but still got move a bit bit..
*
it's quite deep and feel like a dead end for the first time. since i've never used iphone before it was quite difficult for me too.

just make sure you are pushing in up straight, as in 90 degree with the top of the phone and put some force to it

just noticed if you have unanswered calls/chats/messages the small led next to front cam will blink blink biggrin.gif

also when charging, the led will change color from red - yellow green

p/s: i am still excited about the extra smooth and responsiveness of the phone flex.gif

THANKS!!!  notworthy.gif
also thanks to everyone who replied me  icon_rolleyes.gif
i try this "invert phone" method about 4 times then succeed, with extremely high pressure on the phone.. (dam scare the pin will bend...)
i used 2 hours to eject this sim tray....  doh.gif  sweat.gif
*
thumbup.gif

well it could have been worse, for example, the pin patah and left a portion in the hole... gg

with 61% juice left, the phone predicted 1 day 19hrs remaining drool.gif

i also like the data usage monitoring, like watching out from a sunken ship haha

I am currently using iphone4. Anyway to sync the contact from iPhone to Mi3?

And what is the diff to use google acc backup and Mi Cloud?
*
pair with bluetooth and send all as namecard?

my understanding is, google acc is public and recognized across android devices while Mi cloud is specifically for xiaomi devices
