As I X have any CC with 1% Unlimited CB

come to think of it, with the promo of 20” Trolley Bag & rebate of up to RM80 (RM50 + RM30 Online Banking reg), kinda worth* keeping this card around for 1 year blush.gif

*good to replace mbb2cards' visa/mastercard, for those who cannot meet other cards' cashback qualifiers or unplanned large sum swipe.

Got RM 100 from Zara 2 month back and certainly will get another RM 100 back this time round. Maybe I should call them and ask them to replace me a pink card so can get additional 10%.

wa.. why OCBC got so many nice 50% rebate promo when i have terminated the card?!
*
their "in your face!" program brows.gif

if they can consistently keep doing this flash deal or whatever discount/rebate programs, then it's a decent card to be kept around. along with the current signup promo (ending 30 June), at least 1st year is zero-charge ownership.

now i'm waiting for next signup deal or new card*

*with the revised annual income of 60k for Titanium, i guesstimate they may introduce for lower income group within 24k/36k segment. unless OCBC has to upkeep their image/face-value/standard, they might not even want to offfer to this group due to higher risk (?).

another guess is introducing hybrid reward card: cashback + reward points (new feature for their card range).

Should have guessed it. This was fornax's post when he mention about the new card for the first time. Subtle hint that the only change is the income requirement  tongue.gif
*
was hoping new cards differs in cashback quantum or new features sweat.gif

seems like this "new" card is a clone from Titanium except the "Titanium" stamped on the card biggrin.gif

was it because of BNM directive for credit cards to segregate card "class" vs annual income? e.g. Platinum/titanium with 60k pa income, standard/basic with 24k pa income, etc. hmm.gif

At least OCBC shall inform the store manager upfront so they are prepared for it. The salesgirl were shocked with the sudden crowd until I told her, and we even see girl quarrel with the cashier because voucher is sold out  doh.gif
*
imo, poor management by both party's Marketing team.

OCBC is leading this program. OCBC's Marketing team suppose to liaise with DP's Marketing team on stocks/vouchers inventory planning, crowd management, FAQ script/storewide memo, marketing buntings, etc smile.gif

this is not the 1st time OCBC did this Flash Deal, didnt they post-morten their previous FD campaigns? doh.gif

heck, even DP could leverage the crowd surge for use in their Marketing strategies biggrin.gif

possibly they're penalizing preventing those churned/terminated Titanium cardmembers after cb reduction from 5% to 1% back in 29 Nov 2013. hmm.gif

yeah, me too. cuz mbb2card amex + hlb wise doesnt fully cover other miscellanous spending, so ocbc's 1% is still better than mbb2card visa's 1X TP.

but managing additional card is a pain. laugh.gif. might just maintain mbb2card visa for backup.
