Due date was on Friday and was too busy working that I forgot to pay. I have paid yesterday via GIRO and OCBC shall get the payment on Monday. I hope I won't be penalized for late payment as technically it is just late by one working day?

QUOTE(CalvinCLK @ Aug 4 2014, 11:11 AM) Normally if I missed the payment date, I will pay straight via their CDM. That would be faster. There is no nearby OCBC bank for me and no transport. If that's just once in a long time, can always ask them to waive. QUOTE(tifosi @ Aug 4 2014, 12:06 PM) I tried before 2 days late without getting penalized. And another time, it was a week late. Got charged RM 10 but manage to call and reversed the penalty. CCRIS was still captured as 0. Thanks. I'll keep an eye for my bill. I hope OCBC doesn't treat its customers so bad. |

I have so many cards to cancel in these two months and OCBC Ti is already in the list but will be the last one to be canceled as my insurance and Celebrity Fitness membership is tied to this card for auto-payment.
Used to be one of the best cards I ever had and now it is one of the worst ones because I don't have huge spending every month. This post has been edited by fruitie: Aug 17 2014, 10:40 PM |

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Nov 17 2014, 02:58 PM) hi, i been approach by sales promoter for this ocbc cresit card. i told them i am only lookinf for a card that is cash rebate for any amount i make the transaction, they say yes this card unlimited for 1% all day all. 1. You cannot pay a credit with another credit card.currently i am planning to cancel my citibank cash back and take this ocbc if it is really good... i would like to ask sifu here that been using it for some times : 1. can i use the card to pay house loan and get rebate also ? my house loan also ocbc . 2. planning to convert all utilities bill that charge to citibank cash back card to ocbc, worth it ? 3. my weekly online expenses is around 5k to 10k depends on order... i help my fren buy xiaomi phone every tuesday. if i spend 10k will i also get 1% which is Rm100 rebate ? 2. This part needs other masters of credit card to do the analysis for you. I only have a few utilities bills, so I still know how to choose. 3. Yes, unlimited. So, you will get RM 100 rebate. |

Guys, I'm having this card currently and I'm thinking to terminate it as it serves not much purpose for me. Most of the places I go accept AmEx and I hardly use this card these days. However, my monthly personal insurance from GE is tied to this card for auto-debit.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to switch this card to OCBC Great Eastern Platinum MasterCard? Any privilege for GE insurance? http://www.ocbc.com.my/personal-banking/Ca...tern-cards.html Though the 1% rebate seems not so attractive but I think it's a good backup card. Appreciate your advice. QUOTE(supersound @ Dec 29 2014, 08:35 AM) OCBC's cards are only useful on paying insurance. I reckon so. 1% is not exactly good but I guess it's not bad as emergency and back up purpose.Supplements are good, from covering a health problem and surface out another. QUOTE(laymank @ Dec 29 2014, 09:38 AM) OT: for insurance payment, I prefer to pay annually and use AEON Watami card which gives me 3% cash rebate for spending RM3000 per quarter. My monthly insurance is only RM 250 that is only RM 3k per year. Bought this to complement the insurance provided by company. This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 29 2014, 09:43 AM |

QUOTE(sms2u @ Dec 29 2014, 09:50 AM) U can pay your insurance annually which amount is around RM3k? U can entitled 3% cash rebate with AEON Watami CC. Yes, ca n pay annually. QUOTE(supersound @ Dec 29 2014, 09:58 AM) Nah, I'll use my MBB's Master as back up. For your case, rm3000(1 year) = 3000, taking 1 TP(using AeonBig as benchmark) is rm0.0042, it will only give you rm12.60 for rm3000 spent. Now it makes all senses. If you insist on using OCBC, you are only getting rm30 and for sure you need to pay GST of rm50, that's -ve rm20 Earlier my gym subscription is tied to this card and I have transferred it to my AmEx, so only left my insurance. I'll terminate it when the anniversary comes in May, I'm pretty sure I will not get any waiver. So, just cut down all those not so useful cards in my wallet. |

QUOTE(win44 @ Jan 18 2015, 09:53 AM) The 1% Cashback is never reaching RM50 nowadays. Me either and I hardly use this card anymore but good thing is it has no AF and 1% is unlimited. Good for big purchases.Without the 5% CB, i am thinking of switching to another card... =( I hardly spend big amounts, even if I do I will try to use AmEx if the merchant allows. Anyway, my anniversary only kicks in May, still have few months to think and decide. |

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Jan 18 2015, 12:25 PM) Recently, I saw OCBC FB page indicated that now come with 0.5% unlimited cash back instead of 1%, is this true? Er... Just checked still 1% unlimited.Maybe this is for new applicator or gonna update to this cash back but no longer with 1%? http://www.ocbc.com.my/personal-banking/Cards/index.html 0.5% is for Silver and Plat. |

QUOTE(jack2 @ Feb 19 2015, 01:06 PM) Yes, OCBC doesn't allow that. So, keep receiving then. I hardly check out the hard copies, just pay whatever stated in online account. Moreover, my hometown house is unoccupied at the moment but the statement is sent there every month. |

QUOTE(midnight_plue @ Mar 23 2015, 10:28 AM) Yes, been using OCBC Ti since 2012. That time was 5% for selected categories. Then, it reduced to 1% from end 2013 onwards. Earlier of thinking to terminate it as it serves no purpose for me. Who knows TP also inflates and I think I should continue keeping this card now for big purchases. QUOTE(sj0217 @ Mar 23 2015, 10:45 AM) Interested to apply OCBC card again as for backup card, just worrying about GST charge since 1st April is soon Just register after 1st April? |
