Usj 1 here. No dns set in router or laptop, router says connected to Internet but limited access or not Internet when trying to surf. That aside, using dir615 (rented house)

When to Lowyat this afternoon, almost got the RT N14UHP @ RM240 but the technician told me that it is not easy to do the setting myself.

So.. endup buying nothing today...

What about RT N12HP?
*
If you want to buy RT-N12HP, check on the box and it has to say "Hardware Revision : B1". Do not get A1. I have two and they're both faulty. Asus representative personally came to my office to pass me the B1 version. Testing it for a week now and it seems to be ok.

Still testing in progress. About the setup, it is easy. Within 5-10 minutes, provided you have your unifi pppoe id and password, all will be smooth sailing.

"IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

CHANGE OF BILL PAYMENT PERIOD

Dear Valued Customer,

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to inform you that effective 11 SEPTEMBER 2014, the payment period between the Bill Date and Payment Due Date in UniFi monthly bill for all UniFi customers will be changed to 21 days from the current 30 days.

Kindly note that the Payment Due Date refers to the payment deadline for your UniFi bill each month. Therefore, in order to ensure that you continue to enjoy uninterrupted services, we would like to advise our customers to observe this change and proceed with the necessary payment.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. Should you have any query or need further clarification on this matter, please visit your nearest TMpoint or call our TM UniFi Centre at 1300-88-1221.

Thank You."

NOT TRUE lah.

Only the credit period has been shortened from 30 to 21 days.

Before 911 (that's Sep 11! smile.gif ), my previous bill which was from 19 Jul till 18 Aug but payment due date was on 18 Aug & billing date, 19 Jul. However after 911 (ahem again!), my latest bill which was from 19 Sep till 18 Oct but payment due date is on 10 Oct & billing date, 19 Sep.

So using the 30 days credit period, it should be 18 Oct but the 21 day new ruling made the due date to 10 Oct.

Therefore the email is definitely NOT true! Don't take my word for it. Check your unifi billing or at https://occ.unifi.my/HSBBCustomerPortal/HSB...erPortal.portal biggrin.gif

People who sent that email are stupid.

Don't know how telco billing works, but sending out these emails.

Bill Cycle is always i.e 20 October - 19 Nov. 20 Nov - 19 Dec.
Due Date is for you to make your payment.

Kenapa la Malaysia banyak orang bodoh. doh.gif these people placed their brain on their knees?

For those who has received their Oct 14 bill, u should report to MCMC coz TM has overcharged our bill. Becoz TM must prorate our bill by 31-day instead of 30-day bcoz Oct has 31-day.

Say ur bill start date = 4 Oct, end date = 24 Oct, so total is 21-day. Hence, prorate must be 21-day/31-day x $149. NOT 21-day/30-day.

Other ISPs prorate customer bill base on the month's day

If users don't report to MCMC, TM will earn huge sum from us of overcharge amount base on 30-day prorate!!!
