i just replaced my broken modem, and yes, it's a lifetime warranty.. but the thing about this warranty is, the technician will come to your home with a modem modem to replace the old one and they gonna charge RM50.

So, even though it's a lifetime warranty and you'll get FREE replacement, you still need to pay at least RM50 for the technician to come your house. Basically, there's still no such thing as free  biggrin.gif .

nope..thy no charge anything..got one time thy replace mine modem no charge at all

Same with djhenry91, they came to replace it without any charge. Also by right if I'm not mistaken any charges are to be reflected to your bill and not paid to the technician.

hello there unifinian smile.gif .. anyone here know why unifi still lag or delay for gaming when people buffering youtube on the same router? the ping will peak high. Last time , in my last (rumah sewa) , my friend buffer youtube with HD will not feel any lag or delay to me playing games. At that time using TM router and modem. Not using any other brand. So my question, is it because of the house, or the router , or it can be set in the setting in router page? thanks guys...help me please...

Try to optimize the QoS settings, it should help even on the default router by TM.

Anyone experiencing unstable ping/latency recently? Even pings to a local server is pretty bad. Nobody using the connection at all at time of ping test.

Can't do any online gaming for today, even browsing the Internet is a PITA for international sites unless they have CDN working for their sites.

It helps if you do tell us whether you are connected via Ethernet cable, HomePlug, or Wi-Fi when you get slow speeds.

I am on VIP10, using Asus RT-N12HP. If using Ethernet cable or HomePlug, no problem, full 10Mbps! If using Wi-Fi, if I am close to the router, < 5m, good, I get 10Mbps too! However, if I go further away, e.g. around 7m to 10m away, sometimes I get 10Mbps, sometimes the speed drops to just 5Mbps.

I'm using RT-N12 without the HP (high gain antenna) and yes WiFi performance is really not too good, end up I use another wireless access point.

Guys, can someone please shed some light here..

I'm using VIP5 for 2 years. No issues. But lately when it's night time (10pm onwards) the internet is super slow... It's like on dial up speed.
Opening webpages is slow.. even whatsapp loading images is slow..

I am in total control over the network at my place, so no it's not been hacked (can't see any other unknown connection from router status) and not WIFI issues (even plugged a LAN directly). Tested on different computers and phones as well all the same.

Come morning speed is back to normal...

Can someone suggest anything other than contacting TMnut..

It sounds like either it is some sort of throttling by TM at a certain time or it's just congestion in your area during peak hours.

Paid RM400 to the installer today because he said I had to pay RM450 to TM because I had to install it on the 1st Floor of my house, so he could do it for cheaper. Did I get ripped off or is this normal?
*
What is wrong with installing it on the first floor? As I know installers will only charge extra if you're doing any work over the ceiling etc. hmm.gif
