After linking debit card with paypal, do we need to verify the debit card throught paypal right??
If do that, RM 10 will be transferred from your bank account to paypal account |

QUOTE(siren @ May 16 2014, 11:46 AM) no la, this is only my take. Due to brand power, if its some more well known international china brand such as lenovo or huawei, things might have been a little different. So I dont blame them on that as majority smart phone users aint tech savy. we never know. Maybe in this thread, the hype is strong but outside of this thread, still not much people is interested. I asked my frens and colleagues around, some told me my hp still very good, why need to buy it? Others told me they already have Samsung, HTC and Sony phones tied with contract, why need to change to China brand? Others claiming China brand reliable onot despite being super cheap, they still believe 一份钱,一份货的道理。 Maybe I am wrong. Just need to see the sales figure on 20 May to confirm. QUOTE(crispycreame @ May 16 2014, 11:54 AM) with this kind of price i don't think it has problem to sell the phone. Is there any other phone that has snapdragon 800 and available locally that come with this price? The only reason i can think of why this phone not sell as much is because of the marketing is not like other establish brand like samsung or sony. Only people who follow the tech news knows about this phone but even that the amount of people is not small either. Go out in the street and simply pick a few people and ask if they know what is snapdragon 800 or not. To majority users out there, 1st thing come to picking up a new phone is more towards selecting brand, which usually are those big boys such as samsung, sony and etc. The so call "Enthusiast" group is just a very small group when you compare to the majority of the "Normal" users.QUOTE(suntzulee @ May 16 2014, 12:02 PM) guys, stop changing their mindset. let it be, then we all can grab this phone on 20th...haha Xiaomi aint actually giant, maybe giant only in mainland and currently only start expending to other asian countries. It has become success due to its low selling price in the past when compare to other brand, but couldnt coupe up with its stock availability due to its limited resources. Why is why big boys in china such like huawei, lenovo, zte saw the opportunity and start following xiaomi steps and came out with their online brand to compete with similar products at similar price range, which in the end benefit us consumers ok, sorry im just joking. what droidtrix and crsipy quoted here were very true. Xiaomi has emerged itself into a giant player for smartphone. Last time, we were still thinking can a I used to be a vivid fan of apple. I also played with samsung before. But today, I'm proud to say...Xiaomi, you rock my world...i truly love you |

HTC and Sony only loses its market in developing nations such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, India etc These brands are still pretty strong in Europe, USA, Australia, Middle East. You ask an American or European to adopt a China made Xiaomi brand smartphone? They wont give you a damn unless Xiaomi really pumps in billions of dollars into marketing, I guess its difficult too to change the American and European's perception. |

Currently they only trying to set foot in Asia countries. Take note that there's no online or physical Xiaomi shops for the western and middle east countries yet which is unlike HTC, Sony, Samsung etc. So comparing Xiaomi at current state with other giant brand is not realistic. QUOTE(kennethkee93 @ May 16 2014, 01:03 PM) Lenovo is good but it is not a home grown brand.Lenovo was a subsidy of IBM previously and subsequently sold to China. Hence, Lenovo is considered a brand that is well known even before the take over. Similar case for Motorola now. |

Xiaomi probably will not venture in US market to avoid legal suit from Apple.
Another issue is Xiaomi has violated GPL, hence you can't find a specified forum in XDA. |
