I do heard ZTE got a model with Snapdragon800 chipset selling at around 700 AP set.... not bad.. but again the roms update and thebquality might not able to match Mi3...
*
Not very keen on ZTE devices. Quality and sofftware support might not good as Xiaomi

You reverted your MIUI version to stable rom right? How was it? Anything lacking compared to the latest 4.5.9? I was thinking of reverting back.

There are room for improvement in 4.5.9 rom as it is still early stage and i found few bugs

But 4k unit is way too low. I'm afraid after this they will increase their price because of "high demand". And don't know how long to wait until next batch.

I think Sniperwolf is using this model right now...

Specs: Snapdragon 801, 13MP Sony BSI Exmor, 5.5" IPS, 2 GB RAM, 3,100mAh removeable battery.

In celcom, mobile broadband is tha plan for data only, while mobile internet (is this the mobile data u asked?) is a data plan on top of the existing voice plan. The rate is rm10 cheaper than broadband.
*
What I refer to as mobile broadband is data only plan, which is without voice, where usually meant for laptop that sticks with a usb modem, which you can also slot into your phone if you had a dual sim phone la. Usually it also has a higher quota limit as compare to phone data plan, and cheaper per gb charges.

QUOTE(vin_ann @ May 14 2014, 08:39 PM)
with such pricing, i dont think many will bother to think whether mi3 is 6 months old or 12 months old!

nobody care, as people only care pricing!
*
Majority here are still concern bout local warranty part, which there is practically no other options beside mi3 in low cost snapdragon 800 range. But when warranty is not an issue to you and look into china market, there are few more options available at similar price range.

IUNI U2, snapdragon 800 powered, rmb 1799 for 2gb ram 16gb rom and rmb 1999 for 3gb ram 32gb rom. You get a unibody design full metal build phone with 16mp cam and 4mp ultra pixel cam combo, running on IUNI OS which has 0 preinstalled apps. 3g support only

Gionee Elife E7, around rmb 1700+ to rmb 1800 for the 16gb version from what I saw. Also come with 16mp + 5mp cam combo, which selling point is the camera part. 3g support only for now. The international version e7L with 32gb rom + snapdragon 801 with 4g support is yet to be spotted

LG G2 / KDDI LG Isai, normal g2 now also drop till rmb 1800+ price range, which buyers could choose between the standard g2 or japan isai. Isai difference as compare to standard g2 is on back button design, lower battery 2500, use eis instead of ois for camera. Pros are support external sd and have dust and water proof certification. Isai L22 also support 4g. Powered by snapdragon 800

ZTE Grand S2, snapdragon 801, 2gb ram 16gb rom, sd support and 3100 mAh removable battery, around rmb 1800+, 4g support

ZTE Nubia Z5s, another snapdragon 800 powered phone at around rmb 1999 with 2gb ram and 16gb rom. 3g support only

OnePlus One, specs lazy to put since majority should know, basically similar with xiaomi concept, another camping only phone which not officially for sell yet.

Those are roughly the snapdragon 800 variants which available in low price for what I know. For local availability and warranty, xiaomi mi3 is your only choice for low cost snapdragon 800 phone.

If you can find grand s2 for rm700 you better go grab lor, default rrp already is rmb 1699, street price is usually rmb 1800+.

So posting at the first page is the best options. Sometimes people just lurking around you know..not knowing what is Xiaomi and how it works and when they're curious so they instantly ask here instead of doing some search before asking. laugh.gif
