Yeah..4k units. I think they wanna test Malaysian market 1st on 1st batch  laugh.gif

But 4k unit is way too low. I'm afraid after this they will increase their price because of "high demand". And don't know how long to wait until next batch.

with this kind of price i don't think it has problem to sell the phone. Is there any other phone that has snapdragon 800 and available locally that come with this price? The only reason i can think of why this phone not sell as much is because of the marketing is not like other establish brand like samsung or sony. Only people who follow the tech news knows about this phone but even that the amount of people is not small either.

Go out in the street and simply pick a few people and ask if they know what is snapdragon 800 or not. To majority users out there, 1st thing come to picking up a new phone is more towards selecting brand, which usually are those big boys such as samsung, sony and etc. The so call "Enthusiast" group is just a very small group when you compare to the majority of the "Normal" users.

If u ask some unker or auntie of coz they don't know rolleyes.gif

While i agree with u that majority users will opt for big brands, the "Enthusiast" that u mention is not that small group. owning/knowing about snapdragon 800 phone does not make u enthusiast laugh.gif xiaomi is small brand but the price of the phone is too attractive to be ignored even for non-enthusiast. I understand why xiaomi only bring few units but in my view ther underestimate the market for "enthusiast" in Malaysia. Now i know Mi3 is enthusiast phone rolleyes.gif
