QUOTE(freyria182 @ Sep 27 2006, 09:23 PM) Yeah, crazymouse is right -- you can get a drawstring pouch anywhere -- I bought a few at the 100Yen store. Just make sure that's it's breathable for the SG. If you want an SG pouch, you can also try Scales and Tails in Aman Suria, PJ. |

If it's close to your house, it's best you go there to check it out yourself. Different stores will carry different pouches, as they don't bring in a lot of stock -- that's what I noticed. I can take a pic of it but it'll take me days to upload it to my pc ><; by the time I do -- you might as well have gone to the store to check it out. QUOTE(freyria182 @ Sep 27 2006, 11:36 PM) I'll try to. And if you were wondering about the size of the pouch that's suitable for a glider -- well, you can get one that's about 12cm in height and 8cm in width -- that should be fine already la. And the one at the 100 Yen store is a drawstring pouch. Put a cloth inside of it for your glider to sleep on and also in case if it pees la. At least you'll just have to clean the cloth and not the whole pouch. |

Looks something like this.... design of the cloth is different but a drawstring pouch for a glider would be like this.
Also, it is good to use an extra string or rubber band to tie the mouth of the bag close too since some gliders are naughty and will escape easily. My glider chewed 2 zipper pouches... so far she haven't chewed the drawstring. |

My glider is not very tame and I can't take him out with me. I come home late most of the time and by the time I can feed those fruits to my glider, it'll probably be stinky or squished.

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Sep 27 2006, 08:37 PM) Nestum, mealworms, apple and watermelon? Well, that is really quite a bad diet. Watermelon has loads of water only, can cause diarheaa.... then not enough nutrition. Same goes with apples.... You need to give a VARIETY only they can have all the nutrition they need. the nestum i giv him is wheat n honey, its without the milk 1......Mealworms is just protein with loads of fat... no vitamins or minerals in them. Nestum has cow's milk inside plus sugar.... you are spoilling your glider's health with such food.... i'm still noob here.....jz get my glider tis week.....the shop ppl tell me to feed him nestum as main diet 1st coz he still small........... wat is the main source of the vitamin? fruits...? |

I never ever had any trouble giving mealworms to my critters. All I did was show them the mealworms and they immediately made a grab for it and ate it - this was the first time I fed them mealworms mind you! Such greedy babies! Now the only trouble is that they just gobble up the mealworms to fast! Oh and I have listen all your advise and gut loaded the worms. They are super fat!!!
Another thing I want to ask: Where is the 100Yen Shop?! I am looking for places that sell good pouches for the SGs and can't find any good ones! Anyone who has bought some really nice and functional pouches - please list the shop and its location and if possible the price too! Please help Very much appreciated. |

All shop people do not give proper information, you may end up killing or making your glider sick if listen to shop people. Go and research from internet. Or look back at all the pages of postings here. You gotta buy vitamin for small animals and reptile calcium powder. Fruits, go look back at old postings. |

Please help 100Yen shop -- Midvalley Megamall -- Pusat Bandar Puchong (next to Tesco -- row of shops -- you can see it when you're passing by on the main road). I bought a few nice drawstring pouches from IOI Mall just two days ago. The price range for drawstring pouches is RM4-RM6. You can also check at any gift shops -- those stores that sell bears and mugs and birthday gifts. They always have drawstring pouches there. |
