Some 1680x1050 screenshots from GW, all max with 4xAA.

1st screenshot compare with banks same area, 2nd is taken from a place where the sea is frozen, 3rd is from EoTN where Anet did some upgrade to water effects as seen in the waterfall.

3 other screen capture is from hi res video of GW2, there is quite some difference comparing GW1 and GW2, you can see the GW2 textures are higher resolution even through video compression, the view range also seem to be further in GW2, also the atmosphere effects looks more solid as seen in the last screen capture of the forest. You can DL the hi res GW2 trailer(300mb) from their website.

banks, haven't met you yet. Are you in ANI too?? Seems you're just like I was 3 months till 2 years ago, very active. But I'm nearing my end time with med-hardcore gaming. Going casual, didn't even last more than 1 hour of GW once a week

Anyway my HD 2600XT 128-bit 256 GDDR3 can go highest detail and 2xAA @1680x1050 res with a max fps of 30 and 15 min. I'm sure yours is at least 256-bit 512MB GDDR3 if not more. So there won't be any problem for you to play GW2 in high quality, though not sure about the limit for your AF and AA.

Talking about AF (anisotropic filtering, if anyone's wondering), does any of you set your AF to 8x or 16x?? It does more or less affect view range. Mine is always 4x only

Nah...mine is 256MB. Hovers around 130fps with 4xAA at 1440*900. When I play new games, I just shut down the AA, so I can play more smoothly. Since GW is a 2005 game, so I just crank up the details.

is the AF setting in the ATI/Nvidia control panel? if that's the case I think I think my setting is AF 0x I always set "Let application decide".
