If compare S3 as a prosumer with normal point and shoot consumer cams, of coz S3 more things to play loo. But if compare to DSLR, hmm...

The normal scenario would be owners selling their S3IS and get a DSLR. As its just the natural way of progressing. Prosumer to DSLR. Thou you'll have to spend lots on DLSRs to get the lenses that the Prosumer can cover in only 1 device. And to get UD lenses for DSLR's are not cheap. Especially when most of the lenses with UD are the CANON L Lenses. $$$ flying away!
Imagine 35mm equivalent +mid range telephoto + macro + long telephoto = RM***** = S3IS S5IS have to wait and see the finished product and wait for the consumers to comment. The review in the other thread is taken based on results from a test unit IINM...... |

Eh, I remember that Canon Malaysia is supposed to reply my email today. Hmm.. No sign of their mail.
Added on June 14, 2007, 3:35 pmCanon Malaysia's official reply regarding SDHC support: QUOTE The PowerShot S3 IS was built before SDHC card was introduced. Therefore, the camera is not compatible with SDHC card. Only the recent Canon camera would be compatible with SDHC card. I guess there might be some error is that website. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Thank you and have a nice day! Regards, Jeffrey Lee Product Executive CII Group But people have tested SDHC cards on S3IS and it works.
