I read somewhere and it says that CCD is meant to collect the light.. So i guess i'm not spoiling the ccd.. Well.. I guess it shouldn't be a problem.. Correct me if I'm wrong..

Anyways.. Thanx for the comments guys.. By the way.. I just collected my photos from the photoshop few minutes ago.. Some of the photos don't look as good as from my pc... Some of the pictures were kinda grainy. Especially my 3rd picture, the picture of the car during rainy night.. The photo appear to be brighter but kinda rough.. Like there's lotsa noise.. Can anyone enlighten me about this? Could it be the people from the shop tried to photoshopped my pix to give me the best quality?

I went to Fotokem Kajang yesterday and I was told that S3is is currently out of stock. The only outlet that still has stock is Ipoh. I then went to Cheras Selatan and there's no S3is on sale.

I've shortlisted between Panasonic FZ8, Olympus 550UZ, Sony H5 and Canon S3IS.
After reading reviews on it, it seems Canon S3IS owns all 3 of them even though it's older than them by 1 year.

Sigh.. Which shop has S3IS now ?

Between the FZ-8, Olympus 550UZ and S3IS, Still the S3IS wins? I know I've read the comparisons in STUFF Malaysia between the older FZ-7 and 510UZ and S3IS with the CANON taking the overall winner but never expected it to outshine the NEWER Pana and Olympus.....

Looks like I made a right choice.. Before I bought mine. I was longing for th Fz-7.. Thought of getting from a friend's shop as he can give me a special price.. He didn't have stock and I refused to get from other outlets.. So I ended up with the S3.. Well.. I think if I got the fz-7, i would regret big time as the fz8 is at the same price of fz-7 if i'm not mistaken..

Have any of u guyz compared the s3 with the g7?

But according to dpreview, Fz8 and 550UZ has more cons which S3IS doesnt have.

Anyway, I got mine from fotozzoom on Saturday. After finding high and low, out of the 60 fotozzoom outlets, only Ampang Point has. While Fotokem, only Ipoh and Klang has left.

Still exploring to get the best out of it.

I went to the Canon Road Show in Mid Valley last Sunday and they don't have stock for S3is. So I went to a few other camera shops and finally found the one offering the best price. It's FotoData. RM1400 cash (CC add 3%, 0% installment add 6%). I only manage to get a screen protector for free.

And I've bought the last unit in that shop. I'm not sure how soon will the boss restock.

My first impression to S3 was that the focus and zoom is so much faster than my A80.

Mine was RM1509 as I made my booking thru fotozzoom's website. Or else it would be RM1699. I paid a total of RM1721.20 for:

2x1GB Pendrive SD Card
1 x screen protector

I still haven't get the batteries yet. Currently using old batteries from my olympus 740-uz rating at 2100 only xD.

Yeah, I actually called up Canon in MV and they told me there's no stock even the roadshow.

1500 you should consider lumix tz3, pocketable, 28mm, high iso better than s3is.
