Go easy on the cam.

What I did is I got something like a small DSLR Bag and store the S3IS inside with the lens adapter always on. The remaining space is for the acessories and cables. I got a cheapo bag from Carrefour for this. Makes good practise before stepping up to DSLR and also protects the cam from knocks better than the ori pouch. Attaching my lenses are also faster as the lens adapter is on all the time.... sweat.gif

Well the lense hood came as a set with the Original CANON 58mm lense adapter set(LAH-DC20). I think lensemate doesn't include this.

No problem. Just helping what I can.

Your lensemate adapter is aluminum 52mm ring right? You probably have to look for 3rd party 52mm lens hood cos the Original Canon one is on the 58mm thread.

s3 noneed macro closeup lens. its own lens can do 0 cm macro, ie place your subject directly on the lens, still can focus on it.

I know, but I wanna be able to do some tele-macro shots. Eg. Insects that fly away when you get too close to them. Eeek bees.

Same here icon_rolleyes.gif . We need them +power macro lenses to shoot macro from afar. If you ask me, 0cm is just a gimmick and is not effective cos when you get THAT Close, there is hardly enough light to take the pic. Also these Macro lenses have magnification power so you get more closeups. thumbup.gif

The one I got was from Vitacon. Unfortunatly theres barrel distortion at the sides and maybe does not work as well as the original S3IS macro lense (500D)... whistling.gif

The Macro sifus here can advise how to correct it or make it better? unsure.gif
