Got Generations Roadbuster in the mail:

user posted image

THE GOOD:
* Good looking + proportionate robot and alt mode. Nice enough to make me glad I never blew RM400 on Warbot Revolver.
* Love the color scheme and paint apps. There's something 'dirty' looking about it that really fits with the character.
* Modular and combinable weapons are lots of fun. So many possibilities.
* Speaking of weapons, his spring loaded rifle shoots surprisingly far (I almost got shot in the eye).

THE BAD:
* Poor balance. Some have pointed out folding in the feet helps, but he still doesn't stand very well.
* Transformation is a little too simple for a voyager, and he seems a little small (about the same height as MP Prowl).
* Subpar headsculpt. Also weird that it has light piping, which is then painted over.
* Workmanship: mine has one floppy shoulder hinge and a gun whose peg doesn't fit anywhere. A touch of super glue and some sanding down was required.

THE 50/50:
* The stickers. I like the detail it adds to the figure, especially from afar. But some of the stickers are too big for their panels, which makes them feel like an afterthought. Wish at least the Autobot/Wreckers Insignia had been painted on.
* Articulation is decent in some parts, but the lack of wrists and fingers feels lazy.

Overall pretty happy with this figure.

7/10

he is hallow in some areas (cost saving measure by hasbro, i'm sure), but he is in no way unstable. has a pretty decent heft to him too, so you wont see him tumbling at the slightest touch. he feels pretty solid to me.

ouch.. some panel linings would make a world of difference, i'm sure laugh.gif

and i got myself Generations Roadbuster and Skybyte today, Roadbuster is definitely a must get, his transformation is simplistic but surprisingly satisfying.. i find myself transforming him over and over again, very G1 feel to it, flip up the chestpiece, fold up his arms, fold up the legs.. i am very delighted with this fella.. very very well worth the money
Skybyte on the other hand, is a mess of disappointment to me, while the idea of a shark is pretty cool, the robot mode feels sub par and an afterthought.. the legs don't snap together very well and most of the time, the tight thigh joints will make u feel like you're going to break that very small piece of plastic connecting the lower legs to the knee.. Skybyte is for the avid collectors only, i think casual collectors such as myself may want to stay away laugh.gif i'm selling mine off after one transformation.. he just doesn't click very well with me.. will be putting it up for RM100 BIB if anyone is interested laugh.gif

THe problem with this variant is the color. Looks like someone bought some buncho poster colors and started painting.

No thanks, the color is terrible.

I want the original FOC one, not a second hand figurine with different color.
