Do we need to file income tax in Msia if we are working in SG?
if yes, how much? file zero employment income?

i went to the LHDN office and asked about this. The staff told me to write a letter to them saying that you are not working in Malaysia and will be working in oversea for a duration of years. Just a record for them so they wont penalize you.

It's Yes and No.

salaried income won't apply as you're not in MY. However if you have other incomes other than from your company's salary, you will be under taxed as usual.

E.g. properties rental, income from owning companies, etc.

Better la, follow the book best. That's why they are called regulatory bodies, mean they should only perform what the brain wants, not do things anyhow. Those anyhow one should be chop off. Must contribute to the system ok, if found someone not doing their job must complain. Ran from MY to SG liao, one more step backward fall into sea already. not so straightforward as 9:1

http://www.mom.gov.sg/foreign-manpower/for...ker-quotas.aspx

anyway just because there is a ratio, doesn't mean companies totally don't hire foreigners mah. they grow in size, add more overall staff then got more quota to hire foreigners liao lor.

This is random, can I bring out strawberries from Singapore to Malaysia? as in just one pack, but have to go through the scanner. (travelling out through Tuas Checkpoint)
