Hey guys recently got myself a copy of Far Cry 4, installed, started playing and everything was fine on Medium 1080p yesterday. Today I tried to play I'm facing severe and unplayable lag. The lag isn't graphical lag, it's more like hangs and unresponsiveness every few seconds. Like I can play really smoothly for like a few seconds and it starts to lag really badly, then normal, then badly and on and on. What do you guys think that would cause this? Also, when I play I noticed my setup quite quiet (usually fans are loud while gaming) so it's as though my rig isn't trying hard enough to run the game, can this happen?

check the GPU fans, is it running at right speed to keep the GPU cool to perform at its best?

i rmb i once turned off my GPU fan from auto to temps, it stucked at 30% entire time. GPU went full 95C, and i was wondering why am i stuttering so badly in Batman Arkham Origins, only when i checked HW Monitor i noticed the fan isnt responding to the temps

anyone playing Dragon Age Inquisition ? on Mantle ? im playing it on 4K Setting Medium able too keep Gpu under 70C... on CFx mode.. but that change when i set Visual Ultra... go upto 80C and using Sapphire Vapor saw Red Led all 8 hour while playing it.. hm wonder if it good for long term..

Which is kinda unfortunate, really.

We need more price wars in our local GPU market, however our distributor seems to do nothing at all. I really don't want to see our GPU market is 'berat sebelah'.

Though jacking up prices is our distributor's specialty...

Well,i hope it's not because of their mind only thinking of $$$.. That after rebates $234 deal on the 290 Tri-X is about RM818 here..while the price for that is RM1149 AFAIK.

I agree with the jacking up in prices...like what they did to Asus Strix GTX970..

i think, if all the distributors "agreed" to jack up prices (price fixing comes to mind?) for the GPUs, then ALL GPUs will have increase in price whether it is due to whatever reasons...

seeing as the prices of GPUs nowadays just makes me that more reluctant to buy even when GST is approaching....

SSD prices as well...

Especially our local pricing of Crucial's MX100 512GB is far more expensive when compared to US pricing.
