Toughluck, muxed/manual switching is known to have problem with brightness control when you're using discrete gpu. Your best bet is to use Leshcat's UniFl Brightness Resolver but create a system restore point before using just in case and make sure you read the manual >9000 times.  You can download it here. Wait for 14.4 driver or try the leaked 14.4 and then enable Mantle? I know if fixed few issues 290s user having with previous 14.x beta. By the way, incase you guys haven't read the rumour about TSMC and their 20nm process, there will be no 20nm GPU from both Nvidia and AMD this year. |
