QUOTE(siv 007 @ Apr 25 2014, 05:18 AM) Just re apply the thermal paste using Tuniq-TX2. Not much improvement. Only slight different. Idle about 42-43C and full load using Heaven benchmark about 74C-80C. The biggest different i notice is card cool down in faster rate compare to previously. depending on how you tore it, if still able to reapply in close to mint condition, you can always try RMAWait! I already tear off the MSI sticker during re apply thermal paste. My warranty void? try perform Furmark and see the temps check the fan speed as well. tweak them as you see fit |

QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ Apr 29 2014, 04:48 PM) Unreal Engine 8K Resolution Screenshots. awesome, but i see too much low texture being masked by the DoF and bloomI think I shat my pants looking at the screenshots » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « as usual, i dont understand why people like to overkill on bloom |

QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ Apr 29 2014, 09:26 PM) Yeah that's the first major complaint. They mask too much of the low textures plus the bloom. Maybe CryEngine or Snowdrop will do better. And we technically don't have the required firepower in consumer grade gaming GPUs to run 8K properly now anyways. download the Unreal Engine 4 Demo from techpowerup, test on 1080p cukuplathen tweak ini files to the maximum settings you can set watch as your PC dies during the flickering flare from the dude's head |

QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ Apr 29 2014, 11:14 PM) streamyx itself or copper cable limitationsstreamyx usually have crap upload speed anyways. eg 120KB/s download, top 25KB/s upload (even if download 400KB/s, upload limited to meagre 50-75KB/s) Unifi have more steady download and upload, 1MB/s download, 900KB/s upload (as per my friend's current speed) |

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Apr 29 2014, 11:27 PM) Where the heck u guys livin. even in freaking alor setar the other day my LTE on maxis was like 25mbps PJ area, limited by home 1Mbps streamyx as contract under father's name and hes not bothered to upgrade :/the mediafire link i got for elemental will only download around 800KB/s. Dunno why they cant have torrent link like uniengine. Lol think i am one of their best seeders. im using DDL atm with a download manager, pretty steady 110KB/s speeds ill say as compared to torrents (unsteady 90-120KB/s) QUOTE(Sentinel92 @ Apr 29 2014, 11:29 PM) Mine PMSes. I must be at a certain area of the house for uploads and downloads to be optimized. But when it does, it fully rips. one of those random times where streamyx performance dips alot i guessi do encounter that as well |

muh score, one stock, one OCed. see the minor change in FPS? ![]() as for video, link is per here as its pretty huge (30+MB, just in case someone on quota came in to check thread) UnrealEngine4.webm this is a smaller scale webm EDIT: AcidRulez was right too, it mainly utilise 2 cores at most. my other 2 cores were at 30+% usage only EDIT2: apparently the file hoster deleted my file lol so the link above is obsolete This post has been edited by marfccy: Apr 30 2014, 05:29 AM |

QUOTE(sai86 @ May 3 2014, 02:14 PM) <Rm2.5k. hence aiming the Zotac ti amp. but still another 3 weeks to go before getting 1. already got 7970, buy a Nvidia card then proceed to use both Ghz Edition is the beast iinm, in our shore. at this price point, for me going either 780ti or 290x is not wrong, but the thing to choose is, which Tech do you/I wan to go. sadly we can't get the best of both world in 1 rig. else, i would love to marry 780ti with 290x. nvidia (780ti)- Shadowplay, shield, Better frame-pacing (apply to single gpu?), TXAA (got a forumer told me that it blur out sucks iinm), Physx (recent game did not use this special effect?), best single gaming gpu for my budget. amd (r290x) - mantle, tress fx swap the cards whenever you feel like using AMD or Nvidia |

QUOTE(terradrive @ May 9 2014, 01:34 PM) Just tried Assasin's Creed 4 Black Flag. you do know AC series have bad graphic optimisation? theyre graphics are not exactly that impressive eitherWow, never thought the R9 290 is running below 60fps on max settings and 4x MSAA. Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, Assassin's Creed, Tomb Raider, etc So many games demanding GPU power even on 1080p. wow as for Crysis 3, the AA settings murders everything, otherwise should have no prob FC3... i dunno abt this, but another badly optimised Ubisoft game afaik. i cant max it out either Tomb Raider is fine for me, provided i dont open TressFX. a single swish of her hair makes my FPS drop |
