QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Aug 9 2015, 08:08 PM) regarding longevity, is logitech (new name logi) still the king? Longetivity as in durability I assume?razer doesn't last long... blacklisted. I do not believe Logitech (or logi whatever they're gonna call themselves now) has had the title for most durable peripherals on the market. They certainly were pretty darn good before, but king? No, never. Heck, I still have a Microsoft Intelli 1.1 back from year 2000 and it's still working pretty fine (other than the freaking loose scroll wheel). No mouse from any brand, model or whatever has came close to durability of this tank. But today? Yeah I guess Logitech is one of the remaining few that doesn't have the a high amount of mices break after a year of usage unlike say, yup Razer or Steelseries. |

Hi. May I know what's the best long term wireless mouse?
I own a wired Gigabyte M6900 and i'm very happy, but because I use a laptop and am constantly on the move (its been nearly 9 months now) I think that for convenience sake a wireless mouse is better for my gaming on the go (and working on the go) needs, so I won't wear down and destroy my wired mouse unnecessarily. Any advice please? |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 9 2015, 03:49 PM) Yeah, I do think that those with heavy fingers should go for something like Huano switches. They have a lot more feedback, but the actuation force is also significantly higher than any Omron switch. There are caveats to Huano switches though, as it depends heavily on the shell rigidity of the mouse to determine amount of force needed to click. What's your thoughts if I said that occasionally and accidentally press on the right click button and usually when it f-ed me up when I'm playing in CSGO , eg , using the M4A1 or the Famas. Nevertheless , great mouse though , just that bad after service from ExtremeGear , the local distro. An example would be how I compared the Zowie FK1/2 to the ZA12/13. They use the EXACT same switches, but the shell of the mouse is different. It's thinner on the ZA series at the front end, thus the ZA has less resistance than the FK eventhough they have the same components. I came from the Mionix Avior/Naos 7000, they have some of the softest shell that I've ever seen and used on a mouse. Coupled with the Omron D2FC-F-7N, I've had way too many accidental double clicks or left +right clicking simulatenously. One final note is that the harder the switches, the more latency (naturally) there is when clicking. The Zowie FK1/2 had issues with click latency too in fact, of which fortunately is fixed on the ZA. |

There are some mices with Omron that uses a harder shell though, but no where near the force need to activate a Huano still.Yeah been using the ZA12 for 3 weeks now, great mouse really. Suiting my hybrid claw-palm grip. |

QUOTE(sai86 @ Aug 23 2015, 07:55 PM) bro, how's your Zowie ZA holding up? As good as it can be. About 3 weeks of usage now, the coating is still holding up excellently. No issues with any of the buttons (FK2 had click latency issues, which was a huge downside) and the scroll wheel has gotten a little more granular now that it has broken-in.my previous RMA DA2013 got 2x click issue again after i fix it few mths ago. so damn annoying with this stupid mouse that never ends with its 2x issue interested in that Zowie ZA as the shape/design is almost similiar to SS Xai which i love it to the max. While the ZA does have the shape of the Xai, it certainly doesn't feel the same. The arch on the back is higher, the width of the mouse is narrower, the thumb buttons are lower, smaller and also different shape. The L/RMB switches are farther forward than the Xai too. I'd say it's like comparing pineapples to kiwis. Both can be sweet-sour and still taste different. If you want something that resembles the Xai more, the FK1 is more akin to that. Though that isn't in production anymore. *EDIT* One thing I do dislike about the ZA12/13 is the stock mousefeets. They're just too thin, 0.4mm to be exact. The mouse just tracks better at around 0.7-0.9mm (about 1CD LOD), so I needed to stack a 0.5mm Hotline Gaming skates over the stock feet to get better glide and a more suitable LOD. Understandable that Zowie needed to cut cost wherever possible considering their mouse are more affordable in comparison to SS or Razer. This post has been edited by SSJBen: Aug 23 2015, 09:06 PM |

Decided to try the rival.. just got it yesterday. Have had 5 razer mouse for the past 7 years and each of them starts giving a double click issue or a difficult to press button issue within less than 2 years with the last one I have breaking down within a few months. It was a deathadder.
Really like razer but longevity is an issue.. This post has been edited by gooni3: Sep 4 2015, 02:04 PM |
