ok so my viper ultimate is having scroll wheel problems. basically if I try fast swiping the scroll wheel up, it'll sometimes trigger scroll down movements. same goes to vice versa.

also sometimes the scroll wheel also "jumps", e.g. scroll one notch up, it registers 2 scroll ups.

after searching in the net, a lot people have the same issues as I'm facing (viper mini and ultimate) and it's likely due to shitty scroll encoder.

I'm looking into any service that provides replacement of the encoder in the mouse itself. e.g. replacing the junk with ttc gold encoder. I wonder if there's anyone provide such service? not worried about voided warranty since it's past the warranty period. not really planning to buy a new mouse also, last time g900 double click issue, g903 also suffered the same, now thought viper ultimate would've fixed the double click issue due to optical switch (it did) and introduces new problems.

Well razer encoder also problematic?

Used several brands, all also suffer for encoder jumping problems. Is any manufacturer try to fix it after rmas about encoder?

There is no such thing as a razer encoder. Razer uses Kailh 11.G encoder in the VPU. They use a mixture of other Kailh encoders in their other mice also, only recently they switched to the optical encoder on the Basilisk V3. Think they bought several million encoders from Kailh, which is notorious for shitty quality. Gotta use them somehow ya know?

for those who are curious I actually bought this service for the modding, contact is via whatsapp.
you will need to send your mouse via postage since the service is in penang, unless you live close to seberang perai

just a heads up..
more and more PRC-branded mouse are coming out with hot swappable switches for LMB/RMB.
They are using a tool-less design on the shells to access the pcb.

Incott/Ironcat HPC01/HPC02
Rawm SA-ML01
Ifyoo G03

Aside from that some popular models like Logitech's GPW range, you can buy hotswap PCB. They are millmax-ed sockets

Does anyone know where to get PTFE skates for the Razer Diamondback? (the ori one, not the 5G/2015 model) Mine is actually the Razer ProSolutions 1.6 but it's essentially a white Diamondback.

I know, it's so old.

Any recommendation of "no rubber" mouse ?
Budget probably RM200 +-

It should flatten over time, and if it doesn't, suffice to say the pad is f-ed.
How'd he manage to get the edge rolling up though, Artisan ships the pad completely flat and they put warning to not roll up the pad since the poron base is soft.
